God we are back to the X SM army could just be rolled into Codex: SM idiocy again are we?

Could they do it? Yes. Will they do it? No. Should they do it? Probably not. Why? Because its really smart from a bussiness POV and the good investement to turn over ratio of any SM release actually benefits the non-SM armies.

Just be thankful that GW have with the 5th ed SM codexes added new units to make them more unique....and guess what they will do it with DA and BT as well. I'm sorry but anyone who seriously thinks that the hobby would be better if they folded DA and or BT into codex SM instead of keeping it the way it is where they represent the potential for additional SM focused releases is a *****.
Sorry no GW I will not pay twice the $$$ to buy from retail stores in Australia and no amount of adds to the hobby, support you FLGS bulldung is going to change the fact your charging twice as much.

I am all for Templars and Dark Angels getting their own dexes. After all these years of being around they should get unique squads. Maybe Helbrecht can become another 275 point uber character or maybe thats what Azrael will get lol. To be honest I just hope that a new Daemons codex or Tau codex comes out within the next year and a half. If Daemons get rolled into the new Chaos dex like they were before I would be perfectly happy with that too. Although if they ever did that I would say almost all of the special characters for Daemons would go away and that is a shame.

Wouldn't it be awesome as a Khorne player to be able to field Kharn and the Skulltaker so they could compare kills after the battle?

Well, they are never more than one million at the same time. But we, Chaos & Xenos players don't whine about the fact there are multiple SpaM Codices, we whine about the to the many SpaM Codices, which have for consequence a special rules increasement and that SpaM are mostly better on our own skills than we ever were, sometimes for cheaper... I know, they are the flagship of excellency, all that stuff, but it's every day more boring.
You can't say for example that the 4th ed CSM Codex wasn't enough powerful, despite it was "one book to rule them all!"Sure, the special characteres section would be very long, but that's all... Even the history and the rules of each legendary chapter could be summarized in 4 or 5 pages, without being as lapidary as 3rd ed Codices...

Well, there's nothing like a reasoned, well thought-out post and that was etc. etc.

    Now ...

Little in these posts than off topic comment, wish listing and repeating of comment from other threads. N&R forums is NOT the place to ask questions about forthcoming releases and this thread is devolving into a thinly disguised version of just that.
