RedTerror Returns, and brings the Death Guard

Hey folks, after a hiatus of lmost a year of no serious gamin/painting I caught the bug a few weeks back and wanted to share what plague infested goodness I'm up to.

I have a 2500pt Nurgle Deamon army(mostly painted) and wanted some Death Guard to go along with them. The plan is to build up to about 3000pts, as well as sticking a titan in there within a couple of months (Have a bit of money coming in and havent decided on a warhound or a reaver yet).

So without further ado some pics:
The first squad and some individual shots:

    And Finally an Obliterator:

Finishing off a Rhino at the moment so will have a pic of that up tomorrow, and planning on building a version of the lord in power armour out of the left over WFB nurgle lord bits.

Let me know what you think?

    Heres the rhino as promised:

these guys are my first proper use of weathering powders (Forge world Dry Mud and Orange Rust). Pretty pleased with how they have turned out, but any advise, tips would be awesome. Also wondering if anyone knows the best way to seal them? Would hairspray work?

Wow, great work here all around!

Your color scheme (the blue anyways) is atypical of the Death Guard but you really made it work! Your weathering is also excellent, especially the paint chip effect.

The Lord conversion is probably my favorite part, looks like he's kitted like mine, Combi Plasma and a Demon weapon?
That's a WoC Knight head? What parts did you use for the axe?

Wow! very bold choice of colours you've got there, and I think it works very well. They've got a very crisp and clean look to them which works wonders in concert with the "filth" that's on them. Would you describe how you've been working with the powders?

Re: RedTerror Returns, and brings the Death Guard

    Thanks guys.

Garanaul the Black: Bang on! Combi plasma and deamon weapon. The heads from the new WFB Nurgle Lord:

    http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/ca...d=prod1340007a

A few other bits from him aswell; shoulder pads, belly and tabard. The deamon weapon is the staff from the terminator lord with the axe head from the aforementioned kit. Still brewing ideas to have a power armoured lord with the bits left over. Still thinking about what to arm him with, any thoughts?

Satan: Turqouise has somehow snuck into every army I've done, glad you like it though.

With the weathering powders I've been getting a liberal amount onto a drybrush and lightly brushing onto the areas required, putting a bit more pressure onto areas I want it more obvious. worth putting a piece of paper or a box under the area your doing it, ended up with orange trousers after the rhino.

Holy heck, these are awesome NurgleMarines.
The Lord and Orgynobliterater are looking suitably diseased and horrifying, too.

Re: RedTerror Returns, and brings the Death Guard

Thanks for all the comments and you found me Jamie, you found me. Definately up for a rematch, but will be May before I get the funds to complete the army. The following is what I'm aiming for (Green I have, red I need):

    Terminator Lord
Sorcerer on Palaquin (Pics coming Tomorrow)
    7 Plague Marines
    7 Plague Marines
7 Plague Marines Only need 2 models, and would welcome suggestions for something unique?
    Rhino x 3
3 Obliterators Only have the one seen
Land Raider Have my eye on the forge world MKIIB
4 Terminators Have the parts just need the forge world pack

That will get me 2k. Had a test run against some nids using some proxies, and they did very well. Only lost one squad of marines and an obliterator!

Had a busy weekend popping my Warriors of Chaos on eBay (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showth...44#post6120544), but managed to squeeze in some painting time on my termie lord, so here he is:

Cool, just let me know near the time & if you want to battle my Space Wolves or Iron Warriors?

Maybe look to codex 3.5 art work for idea or a few people have use the Skaven Poison Wind Globadiers backpack, see what stuff the Skaven range has for bits/conversion.

They look really nice. Great choice of colours. A really nice and bold look. The contrast with the rust is really nice.

I was suggested to ask any models store near by about MIG pigment fixer? to seal in the weather powder. It ment to be really good.

This is very interesting and different take on Nurgle marine colors. I dig it!

    A nice alternative to green.
