Terrific work! Oddly, your terminators have given me inspiration on what I can do for my obliterator conversion to look "icky" and not so healthy!

Super to see you're back. Care to share what model those wings are borrowed from? I want to try a similar conversion.
Hushrong-I thought the same when I was making them.
Samurai33-The wings are from the plastic chaos manticore.

Glory to Perturabo and the Fourth Legion! May Death and Dishonour haunt the dogs of Dorn and the Seventh!
Awsome daemon prince
I dont say this often about nurgle because i probably find them the least interesting chaos god and the least appealing models generally...but you have made this look awesome...great job!
Thanks everyone.
I finally painted some more death guard. I airbrushed this rhino and then added weathering powders.
I airbrushed the nurgle sores as well. The purple colour will make more sense once I show some of the other models I am working on at the moment.
I tried using vallejo latex masking fluid on the model. I am not very happy with the round, blotchy areas of chipping it created. I sponged on some other damage and think it looks a lot better. I added the silver to the tracks and edges using a standard pencil.
Too much smoke. So ugly. I didn't put the doors on for some other unknown reason. I think I thought the sores looked cooler on the inside like this.

For the second and third rhinos I added a slight airbrushed highlight (so slightly lighter than the first one). I also was more careful with the smoke and painted a few more details by hand (lenses, skulls). I didn't use any masking and did the battle damage with a sponge and a pencil.

Rhino 3
Sacrificial tank or something on the back.

Very nice army youve got going here. Lovely how you put so much effort into each little guy. Very nice. Im also working on a nurgle force. Its good fun! I nurglified some legs the other day
=> I would love to get a photo from side and back of the plague marine that appears to have some plasticard tank on his back. Im thinking of doing some custom backpacks on a few plague marines and seeing how you did yours would be much appreciated.
I like your rhino. Ive just finished building one myself. Loving all the small purple warts. Did you buy or make all those small balls? I think too often nurglifying is just GS and then pushing into it so having the little ball things popping out makes for nice variation.
Oh, and I really dig the new blade for the DP. Nicely done.
Im looking forward to updates!
Thanks xedric. I'll try to get a picture of that backpack for you. The little balls are train scale model apples and oranges (really tiny one). I found them in a discount bin and thought they would be great for nurgle sores.

I've had lots of people ask how I painted my death guard. Here is a brief overview.
I painted my death guard by airbrushing a Vallejo model Air (VMA) coat of Olive Drab. I then did a zenithal highlight with the airbrush of Duck Egg Green. I then washed the armour with Gryphon Sepia. To paint the metal areas I painted them GW Charred Brown. I then sponged and drybrushed Vomit Brown, Bestial Brown, and orange over it. I then drybrushed Boltgun metal over the metal areas and washed the metal areas with Gryphon Sepia. Hope that helps!
