I quite like the werewolves, sorry skinwolves, but £8 for two frogs really Fw? If wasn't for the comic relief factor that comes with them I wouldn't expect you to sell any of those at all.

The skin wolves would be great as Crypt Horrors for those that dont want to have the stregio theme in their army.

I kind of like them both. The frogs are useful for the Hex scroll.

The Skin Wolves would work for the IA11 40K SC Bran Redmaw.
"From the fires of betrayal, Unto the blood of revenge, We bring the word of Lorgar, The Bearer of the Word, The favored son of Chaos; All praise be given unto him, For those that would not heed, We offer praise to those that do, That they might turn their gaze our way, And gift us with the boon of pain, To turn the galaxy red with blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods." - Excerpt of the 341st book of the Epistles of Lorgar.

Love it! The frogs are great, and the anatomy of the skin wolves seems really well done. I might have just preferred werewolves though.

Funny, the rules seem sort of limp......45 pts for a slightly faster ogre with 5+ regen? Frenzy on ld 7? These look more like cool "counts as models".

Re: Warhammer forge skin wolves and arcane frogs

What I really find intriguing about the Skin Wolves is whether the Marks of Chaos they can be given are a sign of things to come. Mark of Nurgle => Poisoned Attacks? Mark of Slaanesh => ASF? Interesting. (They're already Frenzied so Mark of Khorne had to do something different anyway, and with Regeneration 5+, the usual effects of the Mark of Tzeentch wouldn't have been of much benefit).

In terms of models... they're OK, but the Fimir look much better. I can see how a great paintjob (covered in gore where they burst through the skin) could make these guys look good, but they're still a bit gangly for my tastes. Oh... and frogs. Yeah, frogs.

Really like the skin wolves, and the rules are decent as well. The changes to the marks are a nice touch as well.

These new skin wolves are just perfect for my plans for an all marauder tribe army I have been working on, the idea of these wulfen cursed like beasts, along with my Chaos Mammoths ,hounds,etc.....Just fits really well for me.
I LOVE the three eyed frog!!!!! Screams father Nurgle all the way!!!

Loving the Skin Wolves, The Frogs made me laugh, anyone notice one of them is based on the Plastic Chaos sorcerer, broken staff on base.

Like the models for the wolves, the rules are very underwhelming though. 45 points for 2 S4 attacks?

Technically 3 due to Frenzy... but then it just means you get the same number of attacks as every other Monstrous Infantry, only with all the downsides of Frenzy. Plus you can lose the third attack if you get beaten in combat. So yeah.

[Edit] Forge World seem to like giving their big-based stuff only two attacks. Same for K'daai Fireborn and Bull Centaurs. Makes it really hard to generate much damage output from them compared to models on the same-sized bases, or even smaller.

The were...er skin wolves are nice models but like everyone else has said the rules are underwhelming - especially if you compare them to the new Vargheists. Worse in almost every way bar their save and more expensive. No ta.

Also, people moaning about the price of the frogs - have you seen GW's prices recently? I'm surprised they weren't £10 or more tbh. And yes I appreciate this is expensive, but it shouldn't come as a shock to any of us.

The skin wolves are interesting enough but the frogs!
The one on the left is a transformed FW Great Unclean One (note the split open spine) and the one on the right is the plastic chaos sorceror. These are perhaps the most darling little models any branch of GW has created. Yes, they're completely unecessary, basically just collectors' models, which explains the price. I am forced to conclude that anyone who doesn't like these is lacking a soul.

I love the frogs as well, especially how they even used the special Chaos sorcerer base. They ought to make a few more, like one based off of Teclis, and one from a Slaan.

I hope they do this for 40K as well. some squigs that used to be Abbadon or Calgar would be hilarious for the Ork psychic power.

Fair play, those frog have to be some of the most charming models I've seen in years. If they did a giant series I'd want to collect them all, like little arcane-malfunction pokemon or something.

Ha, that'd be awesome. And well spotted on the base, I missed that!

Though, I have zero idea what the hell a Slaan-turned-frog would look like...

Personally, I'd just love a normal-sized palanquin with a tiny frog sat in the middle, surrounded by the bling that dropped off his shrinking body and dwarfed by his skink advisor, who is suitably bemused.

Edit: Looks like Sulla had the same idea I just like the idea of a small frog in a big fancy chair

This. The frogs are the best thing Warhammer Forge have released since Elspeth von Draken. I'm buying lots.

Hmmm - just thinking they would be good for BloodBlowl as well.....
