I think trying to fray it some should do the trick, but it is a great choice of material for the detail.
Overall looking very good from your initial grey work.. the mossy, dank nature of a dungeon is really coming through now.

Looking good.
The cork tile is very effective and a good bit cheaper than moulded plaster.

Good suggestion on the wine! I am actually thinking of starting another thread on 'budget/junk terrain'. Loved the old WD articles where they showed you how to make something out of a cereal packet and a toothpaste lid etc.
Any way, I was in London and found my way to Leisure games who stock Reaper mini's..........
A bit of 'Girl Power' in the dungeon now!
If you let too many girls into the dungeon, you won't be able to see your friends as much anymore, you will have to watch Glee instead of the footy and you will be wearing Pink polos instead of your black metellica t-shirt.
Just saying![]()

Yeah the bones range looks good- planning on buying exactly what you did actually! Unfortunately Leisure games didn't have them in stock- is miniature heroes an online store?
Yes.They were very quick and hassle free. It seems the guy there just orders in pretty much whatever folks want.

Had a go at that 'budget terrain' thread..... would be great if you guys had a go and postedfollow the link in my signature to see my first attempt! Ill get back to WHQ now. Think I'm gonna make some columns......
Always liked the concept of alternate archways and access pieces; something hopefully I get time to explore as I paint away merrily. Very interested in your results as you build more arch ways with these parts.
Doors are not something I've put too much thought into yet but I think just as much character can be put into them as a full-blown custom room. I suppose what I am trying to get at is thanks for the food for thought!
The cork pillars are looking great! If you wanted to you could always stack up some spare ones to make freestanding pillars for your rooms to block line of sight etc.![]()
Nice laser cutting andy, whats next for the dungeon?
Have made the columns so going into work tomorrow to cut the hardboard bases for themupdate soon hopefully!
