Smart ogre conversion. I like it.

    Re: Andy T's WHQ Dungeon

You just removed my reticence over picking up the Reaper Ogre.. that really is a clean modification and lends to a more lean and mean ogre than the usual burly and rotund GW fair. Got to love ideas like that!

    Also, Snotling! Huzzah

    Re: Andy T's WHQ Dungeon

Love the Ogre conversion, it looks mean! I was unsure about picking up the new Bones stuff because I was unsure of the scale and the quality, but looking at the ogre I might pick up a few test pieces.
The snotlings look cool as well, I like the fact there are a couple on each base. Are there rules for Snotling Weapon Teams out there? If not, why not!

    Re: Andy T's WHQ Dungeon

    Thanks for the comments guys,
    @Shas and Eldritch:
you might be interested that I picked up the reaper bones Ogre for £2.40 delivered (buy it now on eBay). The guy sold out pretty quick mind but I think he's gonna restock. I've seen rules for a snotling team somewhere on the web, but I just added 2 to a stand for convenience because there's normally loads of them, they gang up and normally die in groups. Besides I've got a couple of individually based snots that I can switch with pairs if the 'heroes' decide to kill them one at a time.

Had a go at adding some more highlights to my orc shaman, rebased him and then had a mad half hour........
don't know why I decided to try out 'light sourcing' on a character model rather than practice on a rank and file first, but I did.
Difficult to photo, but I've had a go. Would really welcome any advice on what I've done wrong/right from people who have experience doing light sourcing!

I love your bases and the new sinister Orcs look fantastic, especially the Shaman.

It would be nice to get some bigger shots of your figures and dungeon displayed directly in your posts IMO.

The light sourcing on the shaman looks great, maybe if I could offer a small suggestion, add a bit more black in the shoulder region. A pretty good way to do light sourcing is to cheat with photoshop, convert to black and white, then see if the grey scale change looks like light, hope that helps

Really liking that Werewolf, Reaper have put out some nice figures in the past year.

Practical idea on the bases; makes a lot of sense really!

    Orcs looking good.
I picked up the exact same selection from the Bones range as you.... plus the purple worm. All very nice.

Is that a Tre Manor sculpt? The face style matches his work, how does he look in scale with a GW human? If you could provide a picture that'd be lovely!

    Re: Andy T's WHQ Dungeon

Oh man... now I might end up getting one of those... do you have any GW human/empire guys? I've got a weird fixation on trying to keep everybody's head size in proportion.... BTW, I think you have the model I am considering for the noble in your background of that scale shot!

Yeah I use her as a noble: just made it to level 2!
will get some head shots in at some point. The GW skeletons must drive you mad.... their heads are actually bigger than some of the empire models?!

I have a theory. People in the warhammer world have been shrinking.

think I should start painting models rather than just buying them!

    Re: Andy T's WHQ Dungeon

I always find it is easier to find the time and motivation to buy more stuff than to paint the stuff I have got.

I love that Mino Lord and since he does not match the style of the new ones you can pick him up quite cheap. He was a £12 mini when he was released in 5th edition ... so that is another great buy.
