Atharry: totally agree, but as most of them are so busy fighting and were talking about a substance farming technology level, I'd say it's safe to say malnourishment would lead to lots of tinie tiny people. Yeah Andy, head scale is something I am trying to be better with, but it does bug me. Is that an old metal Minotaur?

Yeah it's the old 'Doom Bull' I think. Might convert it into something else yet though.... Chaos Ogre maybe, or a rediculously Huge Black Orc

Hi everyone, i'll be making a lot of laser cut cork bases of a variety of sizes over the next few weeks and will have spares..... would anyone be interested in buying them?
I'm going to set up a thread on the trading forum, and was thinking £1 for 10 normal square bases, plus postage? Does that sound about right?*

Got inspired by Seb's Questing and painted up an Elf. Bit random, but thats how I roll
Cork base (as always) to follow. Might put him on some steps rather than a flat base.

Elf looks nice, are you going to use him as the elf warrior/Mage?

I agree with constant_ones, it looks good. Never thought of using a White Lion, but it looks suitably outdoorsy/adventurer-like. Good idea!

Cheers guys! Will update when I've done the base for him.
    @constant:
Using him just as the normal elf as my lvl 3 seems to enjoy melee more than ranged!

thought he'd make a cool random encounter / npc
his foot isnt silver, it's that the wash hasn't dried!

Now THAT is a cool figure. Great looking paint job so far, you're really picking up a lot of the detail. Can't wait to see him finished!

Heres a tile I made as a prototype for a dungeon my mate has 'commisioned' me to do. Its an old cork place mat. Gonna charge him a £1 a tile (painted).... is that a bit harsh? The squares are 30mm

Doesn't sound harsh at first until you realize that's 12 pounds a corridors, 16 per dungeon room and a whopping 32 pounds for an objective room. Warhammer quest nickles and dimes you to death on both the tiles and the monster tables.

I'm not paying for my tiles but the sheer number of them sank in when I started watching the fourth season of Frasier while whittling plastic card into dungeon tiles. Good thing that man has such a soothing voice. That's four seasons of Frasier spend carving tiles and I'm nowhere near done yet.

I meant £1 for the corridor! Not per square- that would be harsh

At one pound per corridor I'd say he's getting a steal and you're selling yourself cheap. Are they carved out of a single slab of cork?

    Re: Andy T's WHQ Dungeon

I cut the table mat to size using a scroll saw, then use a hacksaw to cut/etch the grid. I then pick at the cork to give a worn look. Grey spray, white dry brush, brown wash. I reckon I could do a dungeon in an afternoon if I went for it.....
£1 is to cover materials really, he is a mate afterall. Probably should be £2-3 a corridor maybe?
