    Hi
It's not Tre Manor's work, its John Manor they were referring too... The ogre chief is stunning...( I own it in metal so I wont buy the bundle... Personnaly I will wait for the Ettin to be released as a Bone individual blister).
    Sincerely,

    John Manor = Tre Manor.

John was the name he used when he first started sculpting for Reaper, Tre is the name he prefers to use though.

    Re: Reaper Miniatures: Bones

I can be in for a tales of bone painters too. Painting a paladin, then a "hello you..." storm giant lady, then a bunch of rats, then a pair of skellies, then a female dwarf warrior, then a naked driden, is a bit less daunting and tedious than painting 25 more goblins as a monthly goal
Ah, yeah, for those interested, my order is probably
    vampire
    - Sophie
    + spider centaurs
    + hydra
I really want the Mind your manor set too, but I can't get everything, and my DE need more fleshing out than my ogres do (well, they need it too, but not characters).

LOL ... so do I ... but I love the banter and the support of failing miserably alongside fellow hobbiests .... and get so much stuff painted during my heroic failure that it is still a great result.

I'd be up for it, I kinda need to get the stuff painted for a D&D campaign I wanna run anyway. And would it not start in september when the dungeon pack gets shipped?

Ohhhh i hadn't twigged we get some stuff early. that gives us a very nice target of getting that first load of stuff painted in six months ... by March.

Dungeon pack? I thought it was only Sophie and paints/miniature cases getting shipped in September not anything else.

And on that topic, I'd be impressed if they got that stuff shipped before October since its still going to be a couple weeks before the pledge manager is released, then they need to give everyone time to select what they want and add extras plus pay for it, then they need to actually pack and ship. Seems like September will be a stretch (no pun intended).

Pretty sure it will just be the Sophie and paints in September[October]. The cases will be in the spring for sure. Hats and shirts weren't actually mentioned as being one or the other though. Initially, I think I saw some navel meditating that they might send the Dungeon Attack packs this fall. That was discarded though once the number of backers crossed the 3000 threshold (they probably had several thousand in their warehouse to cover what might happen - but not enough on hand to cover what did happen).

They can't start shipping until they know who to ship to of course, they mix paints in house - so they are waiting for the final orders to come in before they actually get started with the mixing of paints and casting of Sophies. It will likely be early October before the first box gets shipped, though anyone who is just getting a metal Sophie (or the Sophie collections), hats and shirts will likely be spring as well - depending on the final numbers for those.

Ah screw it, I read it all wrong, thought we were getting early stuff. Are the Goblins new to Bones then? Cause I know the others exist already.

Sort of. They are already in the pipes to be released to the stores. Right now they were an LE version (Reaper's Prepainted Miniatures line).

    http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures...s/latest/20024

They use the same molds as the Bones figures do (don't be thrown off by the caked on paint should you see the LE version in the store...there is detail under all that). Right now there are 16 figures in the released Bones line, 13 figures which are being added Soon™ from the LE line and the 240 or so brand new Bones figures which will be coming Spring 2013 to a Theater near you.

Your plog is the largest around, you paint minis by the hundreds. You think you suck at the tales? :P *laughs maniacally*

Let's assume they send out another 50-60 emails....you still get about 2 minis per email in Vampire, which is a pretty good spam to product ratio.

You also do not have to recieve the email updates unless you choose to. I just check the site every now and again. No spam, no problems.

The bones will even have a little bit less effort to do a painting log, since you don't even need to undercoat the models.

    Re: Reaper Miniatures: Bones

Sounds like super fun happy times. I haven't done a plog yet, Bones will be a good excuse.
Also I'm not sure if it was mentioned earlier, but there was an interview with Reaperbryan on the nerdherder podcast that I listened to. Well worth a listen to for lots of interesting inside info on mini production, the Bones line, how the kickstarter went and kickstarters in general.
