I think they were just saying that to be polite, what they meant was 'We will give you 9-12 months for your wallets to recharge'.![]()

Ughh. They're killing me with these recent large monster add-ons, hopefully they put up some more dragons, I've only wanted 1 of those.
Stoked with the frost wyrm, I'll be getting two. I've had my eye on an Icingstead army for Warlord, and now (assuming frost giant warriors join in the kickstarter with their firey cousins) I'll be getting one for a fraction of what I thought it would cost.
just been looking at the newly added Chronoscope stuff, these things have integral bases, but the metal chroonoscope stuff doesnt have integral bases, wondering if these are already done as "bones" and have been sitting unreleased for a while now....?
Those will likely be metal prototypes which have been primed white. Reaper has already got a plan for their future releases in the Bones line, all we're doing is getting the moulds made faster.
They haven't mentioned a time, just that they would give people a break first. People have assumed a few months after the first one ships out.![]()

I'd be willing to bet that the next one is going to fund one or more of their games. If there's one thing that has let Reaper down over the years it's their games, which are fun and generally well designed but tend to have nebulous release dates. A kickstarter could help change that.

Release dates for final published rules are always Nebulous (unless you finish them first and then project the release date to be 6 months from then like GW does).
Warlord has actually made the top 5 miniatures' games list a few times for Independent Game stores in North America (lot of caveats there...but those are where the numbers come from). They are less popular overseas in general due to the lack of an specific overseas presence for them. Personally, to me, they are probably my favorite full line of wargaming miniatures. I use them for several games other than Warlord as well - though it hurts the wallet a bit when you are putting together a 100+ figure list. If they got to around the same level per figure as the other Bones releases though - you would probably see the game (or at least the miniatures for the game) explode. Issues regarding official tournaments, but since a certain company has stopped supporting those as much as it had in the past - that becomes less and less of an issue each year.
Add to that their plans to bring the manufacturing to Texas and you have a real winner. There is still a significant movement in the US at least to support "Made in the USA" stuff - or at the very least to not support "Made in China" stuff. Less important for those on either side of the pond from us I would guess, but I know there is (and likely will continue to be) a certain level of concern regarding Chinese products whether it is in regards to the government, the materials they use or the working conditions.Combined with 'Bones' .... they could include a selection of minis and enter the realms of 'Big Box' Games.

I'd rather buy products I know aren't produced in a communist state myself. It's one reason why I like GW, most of their miniatures are produced here in Britain.
I know saturdays are usually slow, but it's been sitting just under 3k to the next stretch goal an excruciatingly long time it seems.![]()

I love Reaper. All they need now is the Garrity Hydrae and the rest could be trash and I'd be happy.

Happily, I got to that point while we were still in the Graveyard. Figure if I added up the sculpts I would use in the basic package and they worked out to cheaper than retail...it would be a good deal. Now, everything is just gravy...or ranch dressing. Makes it taste even better. There are still some that I would like to see come down the line (halflings and gnomes for the PC side of things, lizardmen and a variety of undead on the mob side of things, the hydra, gorilla, hill giant and a dozen or so more big ones on that side of the equation - plus round out the elementals...just because it seems like the right thing to do). Even if none of those were to happen, I would probably be happier with this than any of the previous Kickstarters I had backed.
With 7 days left on the clock though, I am pretty sure we will hit 1, 2, 5 or 10 of my wishlist items still...and that just makes it so much better.
Unless something goes sideways - they should be down to 50 cents a miniature as the weekend closes out. Even if you had little love for Bones (which...personally, I quite like it) it is hard to say no to 50 cents per miniature.

The monetary aspect is not my primary concern (although I have been spending more than I should lately).
The primary concern is that in March of next year I expect a rather large package from Mantic thanks to their Kickstarter. If I pledge for Reaper, too, I am looking at 400+ minis delivered that month.![]()

Sounds perfect to me then. Although there were some - the Mantic selection was a little light on the big boys for my tastes. Couple of elementals, couple of dragons, couple of ogres, couple of giants...should all fit nicely depending on the options you chose there.
If nothing else, you will need some cases for storing them and some paints for painting them.![]()
