Terrain
The table has large walls going diagonally from the south east corner to the north west which cover about half the the table, there are 3 choke points that can be used to get from one side to the other. The north easy also had 2 pieces of area terrain.
Scenario is annihilation spearhead
Deployment
The eldar player wins the choice of deployment and elects to take it to make sure his farseer squads get their fortune on. He chooses the north east side.
The two councils deploy as close to the center as possible. The guardians take the north east rear terrain locations, falcons and vypers are spread evenly across.
I deploy my 2 terminator squads towards the center, ready to move through the central choke point towards his lines. My predators and initiate squads deploy further back towards the south west of my deployment zone. I expect that his 1k? points spent on seer councils will force him to come to me and I don't want those spears anywhere near my armour.
My dread goes into reserve and the vindi deploys towards the north west of my deployment zone.
My speeders deploy further back as I don't want them in range of the vypers first turn shooting.
Turn 1
I roll for seize the initiative and "6", so it turns out the councils will not have the first turn after all. As he was expecting them to have fortune on and have a turns movement before they are shot, both the councils are actually in the open for most of my army to shoot.
I unload pretty much everything on them! 2 preds, 4 initiate squads, both terminator squads all fire on the councils, the vindi attempts a shot but is out of range by a few inches. After the dust clears 1 council is completely destroyed and the remaining one has 3 members left! My speeders open up on the vypers and down 2 of them while stunning a 3rd.
Eldar turn 1
His 3 remaining seer council members advance towards the vindi but are out of range for their spears this turn.
His falcons try to harm the vindi but fail to penetrate its armour.
Guardians are out of range with their lances, no much else this turn.
BT turn 2
My speeders fire on his falcons, stunning 1. Preds and initiates manage to kill 1 more council member, with fortune on its much harder now.
Terminators have no targets.
Eldar turn 2
His remaining 2 council members manage to fire and charge the vindi but needing 6s to hit in CC fail to kill it, a spear does stun it though.
His few remaining vypers as well as a falcon fire on the terminators and manage to kill 3.
BT turn 3
Essentially the final turn, the remaining council members are killed by the preds and initiates. Speeders down a falcon while the terminators take down another.
Dread pods in and after a heavy flamer and assault cannon 1 guardian unit is dead, flamer hit all but 1!
In the end winning that seize the initiative roll allowed the BT to win without losing almost anything in the army.
