Like the new gangers The heavy stubber/heavy bolter is abit over the top but the orky bits kinda fit with the underhive mentality I guess "Bigger is better" seems like it fits in their filosofy as well

hehehe, you should have seen it before i chopped it up, i shortened it about half an arms length, removed spikes and ork symbols, and still it looks masive...maybe because it was ment for a bike...but anyway! ill see if i can chop it down a bit more, first thing that goes is the big block of nothing on top of it!

Ork shoot as make for great heavy stubbers, and including a heavy stubber is always a good idea! The weapon profile doesn't do the gun justice, those things are surprisingly lethal!

Using the plastic Wych kit to make Eschers is a damn good idea.

thanks mr hunk! It takes a good bit of shaving off eldar details, but its by far the closest thing to eschers besides the original metal models!

    decisions decisions decisions....

    help me choose!

    main armament, grenade launcher

    second arm:

    knife?
    other knife?
grenade (i love the pose of the arm, but throw a grenade when you can shoot it?) ?
    sword?
bolt pistol (can easily be made into auto pistol),
    auspex,
    lasrifle.

I say go for the arm that's curled holding the knife, or use the grenade arm but try not to pose it like it's being thrown. Rather, being held at the ready to jam into the magazine if need be.

I second the 2nd idea about the grenade beeing held at the ready

Agreed, it would seem unnatural for him to be holding another weapon, considering the potential recoil on a grenade launcher.

Looking at your grenade launcher ganger he seems to be.... Missing something. Hes like a black sheep of the family. He doesent have a beard, over the top feature, any beer bottles on him or sport a mohawk/eye patch. Was he born from the milkman?

Why not add a banner to his back? Hes already a huge target with that grenade launcher anyway

No, back banners are kinda out of place in Necromunda unless you're the Arch Zealot of the Redemption. I'm sure his personality will let him stand out!

Ok so back banners may belong abit more in fantasy then in Necromunda but you get the idea

He needs personality! Something to make him tie in with the rest of the group! I mean your life isent sure in the underhive if you dont have a beard, drink excessivly, wear an eyepatch or have some mental disorder.

I mean, they would almost think he looks... Normal! Cant have that now can we

Oh but thats scary when they look 'normal'. You'd avoid the rough looking types like the plague, but a normal person? No harm there right? You know who else looks normal? Psychotic killers. There's something to think about.

Perhaps that can be what sets him apart. All the others look like rough types and killers and yet all of them are afraid of the normal looking bloke with a calm expression and a glint in his eye...

Re: Wildsnake, guns and gangs. A life in the Underhive.

demo, i know exactly what you mean! but, i ran out of fitting heads :P also, no back banners

astraeos and blackcherry! like the idea of normal being scary!! "dude, stay clear of that bloke, he just sits there doing nothing...but when the **** hits the fan..."

somehow i feel the need to tweak my gangers who are all catachan parts, i mean, in the grey now they look like guardsmen, but with the paint i got in mind they wont. its gonna be blue jeans or grey combat pants, black leather vests and jackets and white shirts with sweat stains ..and the occational blood splatter maybe

also, i really didnt like my juves from the first post so i scrapped them outright! and started working on some new ones!! tell me what you think? improvement, yes? also, i needed something that looked a bit like an autopistol so i cobbeled a laspistol, bloter clip and kroot rifle together

PS: modified the heavy stubber some more. shaved of the box on top of the other box on top of the gun (if that made sense) it looks much better now!

and some bad news at the end: my original leader had his face melted, so i need to make a new one from scratch. but i like modeling so im looking on it as an oppertunity!

What melted your model!? Autopistols are tricky to come by when you're making a gang from scratch using model parts, I made one by swapping the barrel of a bolt pistol with a laspistol one. Your one looks really nice, I'll have to reconsider the Tau Empire range at some point.

Well it was actually more of a clog up than a melt. the mini needed new paint from a misshap earlier, and the new undercoat cloggd up the face. But im fortunate in that my bitzbox is full, and a replacement can be made. Im actually looking forward to it!

The fantasy range has some nice sources for heads! Greatswords and flagellant boxes in particular have nicely fitting heads for the crazed under hiver I do get your point about normal beeing scary

Like the look of the new juve nice weapon that he's carrying, allthough it kinda looks like hes got a silencer on it... Or is that just me?

Its more square looking than tubular really, but the photo doesnt portray it well. Also it has the little holes on the side that makes it noisier I am worrying a bit about the added height of the juve, but hey, hes only fodder
