Oh wow, that does sound like time consuming cheers for wanting to give it a try though

Way our group handles it is to try put our games in the weekends or during the weekdays but after dinner. Not to well received with my parents so far but if I ask them if they mind its generally allright. During bridge seasons there always off on wednesdays for example far from perfect though... Between our last battle and the one I had today we had a full month and 2 days in between! I swear, how DID I manage to survive all this time?

Your baby and hectic housework though might put some strain on that... Do you got a mancave yet? And a "father day" appointed to you yet? My cousin does that. Between his wife (well GF...theyre just not married but when you hear them argue you couldnt tell...) and himself they both get a day in the week (or every 2 weeks, not sure) thats enterilly their own. The other takes care of their 2 kids that day and theyre off the hook. Seems to work well for them Your missus still has to agree though

cool gangs so far. I can't help thinking you need to change the heavy bolter that's meant to count as a heavy stubber though. heavy stubbers can look like almost anything while a heavy bolter is obviously a heavy bolter. using ork guns as you have on the second heavy is a really easy way to make them & the fact that there isn't a set silloughette for a heavy stubber means you can be really creative with kitbashing them.
    keep up the good work

thanks malchiar! i probably just build a new heavy stubber if i need one extra, as I decided to try out a heavy bolter instead. seems more deadly if i can just avoid the ammo rolls

this thread have been neglected for too long, time to catch up!

finaly had some modelling time today, and made some loot counters!

back row, left to right: remnants of some unfortunate adventurer and treasure map, medical bag and syringe pack, canister with something nasty and grenades

front row, left to right: vox and ammo, grenades and wildsnake, eerie looking dug up bones and tome..

also i tried to make a new gang leader today BUT im not quite happy about his bolter, it looks way to big to be held like he does...thoughts or tips anyone?

and finaly, my second new juve...since he has a similar look to Sparky, maybe its his cousin or brother or something!

well, I glued the necromancer to a round base...and the result is rather dissapointing....the cape is going everywhere and he seems misplaced between all the lasguns...so, like any good sport I made a beast master instead! sadly, he doesnt have any pets yet, but im hoping to aquire some in the near future. the pets will also double as minor monsters in my treasure run scenario (in the scenario section, have a look)

the idea behind him is that he summons nearby creatures who can hear his bells on the staff, and when they are within close range of him (like in the wyrd rules) he commands them

Re: Wildsnake, guns and gangs. A life in the Underhive.

I made a few alterations to my orlocs today:

    Leader:

My first leader sadly clogged up, so ive been playing with new ones. I really liked the cloak on ht first, but i think its the head that really made the character. since i didnt have a spare Ive decided the current one is the most "leadery" one ive got. but I cant decide. the one with the sword showing or the one with the bolter? ive kinda decided on the bolter one, as it looks balanced miniature and pose wise, the other kinda seems a bit wonky. thoughts?

Also, Crowsilver, my autogun ganger, got belt fed ammo now, which i think is more in style of a bullet spewing autogun. Also it seems more underhive workshop-ish than a clip of ammo somehow. at least I think so,,

I got to agree with the bolter model for your leader, the pose looks more balanced. The other one's not too bad but the pose needs rethinking, he seems to be waving his weapons around a bit too much! Showing them off perhaps? Any good leader should be armed to the teeth!

The belt feed on the auto gun is an inspired touch! It looks more brutal like that.

Ahh, classics! Don't you just love how overloaded that Bounty Hunter looks? Really armed to the teeth there! And that scummer model has it's charm too. Nice haul there dude!

Thanks astraeos! a got a new little haul on the way :P ..

    also

Since I scrapped my second orlock gang (the one i intended to lend out), im in need of a new gang to let my friends borrow. any suggestion what gangs would be a good (and somewhat even!) match to orlocks? Id prefer it to be a house gang, as I hear they are the easiest way to learn the ropes.

anyway, I found a really interesting head in my bitzbox when i was shifting through it, and slapped together this...its superglue, so i can snap the parts of again, but maybe cawdor would be fun?

Re: Wildsnake, guns and gangs. A life in the Underhive.

All the house gangs are fairly balanced against each other, well they do share stat lines you know! It's just that different gangs have access to skills in different quantities, like my Escher have mostly Stealth, agility and combat skills while everyone in a Van Saar gang have access to the Techno skill table! Just pick another Houae gang you fancy having a go at, read a little background to make sure you're on the right wavelength and go for it!

That masked guy could pass for a Cawdor. Cawdor all wear masks and wear some very medieval looking stuff. I know someone (might've been CatFerret) has made a Cawdor gang out of plastic using Brettonian bits and Necron heads, and those were awesome!
Oh, and Cawdor is a combat oriented gang by the way! They have ferocity, combat and I think agility. Can't remember off the top of my head.

The masked marauder horseman heads don't take much work to make for passable Fallout style hockey masks. You're fated to roll WS if you use that head though. I think the dice gods have been playing Fallout as well. I have a Juve with that head and he's WS5. I bet his ganger status advance will be WS6.

Well if they're Cawdor then they're going to want the WS advances!

Wow, they're bigger models than I thought! I think they were a grey-purple-ish colour. Could always try googling them!
