Stupendous vision and great execution...really good theme...will the bases be suitably muddy/swampy/river-y too?
I am urgently trying to contact any living relatives of Sam 'Jock' Wilson, KIA 10.06.44, UK army service id 2764432, from Morley, West Yorkshire, England. Served with Black Watch Regiment & No.6 Commando.

    Holy crap!

    This looks sooo cool

I love these conversions and the greenstuff work on the Forgeworld dreadnought is just amazing. I can't wait to see them painted!!!

Forgive me if this has already been asked and I didn't see it, or if it's so glaringly obvious I'm an idiot to ask, but: where did the Cthulhuesque head on the Terminator champion come from? Similar question for the cephalopod icon on his back.

This is magnificent work and, if rumours about the new Chaos Legions codex turn out to be true, will fit really nicely into that new army structure, too.

The banner icon was a modified Dark Elf Corsair octopus icon.

The squid head was from this kit: http://wargamesfactory.com/webstore/...tcoat-troopers

That's some great kitbashing and it's always nice to see FW conversions.

I feel like the assault marine with the claws should have running legs, he looks a little short. The ones with the big guns are okay with a lower pose.

Apart from that I just want to see paint!

These look great, and I was imagining them with that color you posted, before seeing the picture! With rusting and that green aqua color these guys will be amazing. Please paint them!

Absolutely stunning! Probably the most original concept I've ever seen for CSM's.

Wow. Just...wow! Great kit-bashing/conversions. Really looking forward to see these guys painted. Will you make som kind of maritime-inspired transports as well?

Very cool theme and the conversions are top notch as well. Very unique and different army yet very fitting to the whole chaos thing. Love the helmets and the subtle yet definite lovecraftian touch

Guys, seriously thanks for all the support!

Kicking off this week of blighted updates; my Possessed unit.
Just like the other Mariners they are a mix of MK 2 & MK 3 Armour as well as a mix of old and new possessed / mutation bits. I only used claws/arms that had the nautical feel. Crab Claws, tentacles, etc.

Beautiful (if you can say that about bloated, possessed madmen...) in all ways!
I hope you don't mind if I "borrow" your ideas for a small warband some time in the far future.

Fantastic as always. Have you seen that Malifaux have a couple of dock packs out soon that may be of use to you?

Re: Mariners Blight - A Maritime Inspired Lovecraftian Chaos Marine Army

Thanks for all the compliments everyone.

It's been a few weeks since I added anything for Mariners Blight. I moved my family to a new house in Dirty Jerz, 3x the size of what we lived in Philly. I started a new higher paying job as a Design Director working from home the same week and needless to say it's been hectic. The past few days things have settled down and I've had the chance to get creative (In a non-dayjob fashion) and here's the result.

My Blight Lord is essentially Abbaddon. Same stats, rules etc. But I wanted a unique look to fit the blight theme. In The Shadow over Innsmouth it was Obed Marsh who brought Dagon to Innsmouth, so it's only fitting that I honor his name by dubbing my lord Obeddon Marsh.

The build started as Lord Zhufor from Forgeworld with a few drastic changes. I shaved off all the World Eater iconography, sculpted a new Dagon symbol on the left shoulder pad, added the anchor,* gave him a tentacle, spliced Zhufor's head with a more blight appropriate one and gave him a nasty aquatic looking Daemon Sword made from a modified Tyranid bonesword. The base is a modified Secret Weapon Miniatures one with some appropriate nautical embellishments.
