Great idea. The spotlight fits the dread perfectly. I cant wait to see some paint on these guys it will be a really original army. Do you plan on making a Kraken themed Deamon? Please say yes.

Thanks again for the compliments everyone, Here's a new addition, A Mariners Blight Sorcerer.

    "Gimme a Kiss Mutha ****a!"

Basically, that sums up this Sorcerer…

Just like the other marines, he's a mix of MK2 & 3 Armor, a skaven staff and a really awesome head from Maxmini. I was certainly going for the swamp Leech look here :P

Really unique, well-crafted and all that palaver.

That mouth makes the Sorcerer look like one of those aliens from the (terrible) movie version of Dreamcatcher.

I never saw Dreamcatcher, but I googled the pics and I have to agree.

Here's my latest addition, Deep Diver Terminators

These guys are competing to be one of my favorite units from the whole army.
I mixed up loyalist and Traitor Terminator armor and used all the diver helmet heads from BioHazard head sprues Morbäck designed*to achieve a unique look. I actually shaved away a lot of the smaller chaos detail on each figure for a smoother armor look, especially on the shoulder pads.*This Particular unit has Mark of Nurgle, so I added that in there in a Cephlopod like fashion
The addition of some aquatic like mutations completes the Innsmouth Look on these fellas.

    E.X.C.E.L.L.E.N.T !

I'm sure the original sculptor of the maxmini head will be proud to see his stuff used like that...

Really creative and refreshing (in deep water)...

    Thanks again everyone,
So Wrapping up my Blighted week are my take on Raptors.

They are mostly based on MK3 Armour, w/regular Chaos CC arms and some MK2 Armour pieces. The Biohazard heads and Iron Pattern Jump Packs are from Maxmini as are the Tesla Cannons which I'm using as more retro proxies for Plasma Guns.

The Commander is using a Zombie Head from Maxmini for that rotten swampy look. I also decided that his lighting claws should be mutations rather than manufactured weapons. Just "felt" right with the whole Lovecraftian mutation thing I have going on.

I'm still debating on wether or not I'll add any cinematic jet exhaust effects like I've done with my Dark Eldar. Probably not this time.

More great looking additions, particularly like the marine/tesla combinations -- they work brilliantly!

Re: Mariners Blight - A Maritime Inspired Lovecraftian Chaos Marine Army

    Thanks for the support guys!

@Red Skullz, I'm in the process of moving to a new house, so I most likely won't be painting anything for at least 2 weeks.
But I want to airbrush most of the army at the same time, so initial progress of that should be up within 3-4 weeks.

I do have many many more WIP shots I'm posting next week as I finish up more units.
