Thread: Beastmen Chariot Horde

    Beastmen Chariot Horde

I had a lovely rome total war session (playing the Britons) and I had an idea but I need the advice of the lovely warseer users, how well does a Beastmen Chariot horde fair against most armies (competitive and otherwise).

and when I say all chariots I literally mean all Lord chariot, all heroes chariot, all core chariots, all special chariots (plus some razagor beast for the extra umph) and rare being 2 jabberwockies..(for magic bonus and general annoyance)

So basically a chariot horde supported by large beasts...

I know it sounds insane but it might just work and boy the conversion possibilities (maybe a few ungor raiders for the war machine killing)

Well it can work, but you need to get double and triple charges to break units. The other thing is as many of the Chariots need to be Razorgor Chariots as you can fit. The extra toughness and strength are huge. Ungor raiders and harpies would be a must to block enemy counter charges.
    No Signature right now.

You'll need a few things.A beastlord with the axe that hits all models in base contact and crown of command. That's always fun. Trade your Jabbers in for some gorghons. They have Stubborn 10 ld so they can take a charge and hold for your counter attack. Just do chomp attacks to killing blow and get wounds back. Scout a Razorgor shaman, add the chalice of dark rain, scouting harpies, and you are good to go. Remember chariots cant march so you'll be slow! Good luck.

This kind of list is probably the only one where you'll find a use for the Lore of Wild signature spell (Bestial Surge). Getting those chariots moving forwards asap is what you need.

You can always access it through the Enchanted Item, Horn of the Great Hunt as well (with the added bonus that it's got a 36" range so will probably get all of your chariots moving up).

    A couple ideas:
Manbane plus Doom and Darkness will be needed to break LD issues. Malagor can be of help with his special rule for LD as well.

3 Razorgor chariots come in close to points coat of some Hordes I have seen and will work them well in protracted combat. Think of them as your power horde.

A Great Bray-shaman with the Brass Cleaver, Savage Beast or Horros and akin of man can, in the second round of combat against a deep unit and having combat reformed sideways, have 12 S7 attacks with Hatred.

Razorgor chariots and Ghorgons together are deadly.

    Hope that helps

You really had me until you said jabbers...

Chariots, razorgor chariots, hounds (to redirect things that would otherwise charge you), individual razorgor and ghorgons would really be a fun and fast army, but it would take a lot of work to make it effective.

Takes a lot of luck. You need your chariots to make their charges (usually a few fail in 8th), then roll at least average on impacts and preferably not be attacking someone with great weapons. I have had far more luck with basic gors in this edition, as much as I wanted my chariots to perform.
