I second that motion here alhough it seems to be ignored for the moment. I usually wouldn't mind, but this information is vital!

I don't recall the ultramarine symbol being sculpted. Then again, I never looked that closely at it.

It is, has been in both versions of the AoBR paint set.

    they are new models.

The horizontal tactical markings (a feature of the DA) seem to be sculpted

These are new sculpts,or at the least re-sculpts and i think it proves which chapter will be in the 6th edition starter set.

These are cool, can't wait to see them in person. Really looking forward to DA getting some love. I don't play them but have several friends that do, will be cool for them.

the new green ( Caliban green) is NOT the same colour as Dark Angel Green. so if your half way through an army or just prefer the old colour i would recommend stocking up !! the old paints are removed from stores in 2 weeks and stock they have atm instores is NOT getting replenished

Technically there were 3 Devastator boxes: generic (i.e. Ultramarine), Blood Angels, and the Space Wolf Long Fangs. Dark Angels never got their own Devastator box, although I'm sure they were tossing the idea around.

I'm honestly underwhelmed by these DA starter models. I understand that new players don't like to fuss with fiddly bitz but they could have gothed these models out with censers, parchment, ornaments on chains, etc. Maybe the models in the actual starter box will be more detailed.

Doubtful. AoBR models are not detailed at all, they're all basic snapfit. I'm sure we will see the same again. They can get away with fancier models in spacehulk because of the pricetag and specialist nature of the game. The only thing I can think of may be a slightly redone DA veterns box, a deathwing box, and at least one new unique unit for DA. If the previous starters are any judge we won't be seeing awesome models in it. I hope I'm wrong but I highly doubt it.

Can't see anything new about these models apart from the shoulder pads.

I'm nit sure that we need to be making predictions of what we think the new boxed set models will look like. the fantasy box is probably more analogous to the quality that we will be looking at as opposed to AOBR.

I'm super excited. I hope we get some awesome terminators in this kit, and I've thought about starting up a chaos army as well, so I'm already saving up my money.

I sincerely hope that will be the case. Hopefully they have put as much time and effort into this starter box as they did with the Island of Blood set.

They include terminators in paint kits? ... think the wishlisting isn't in the right thread =D

Seconded. These are Dark Angels and they should have something more gothic going on for them. Otherwise just leave the shoulders bare for codex chapters. I hope that the minis in the box are more blinged out,but right now I think that's just a heavy dose of wishful thinking.

As to the color of the models I think that it looks a little off due to the blue background, photo glare, and lack of highlights and shades. Caliban Green could be the same as DA green, so people shouldn't get too worked up. Besides, if it's not just the right shade you can always get a Vallejo Game Colour bottle to match your old DA green.

Caliban Green should be the same as old Dark Angels Green - here is the official citadel conversion chart:

You'll notice at the top, they say these are the nearest colours to the old names, in the new range. I.e, "Caliban Green", is the closest to the old "Dark Angels Green" now available from GW, but not necessarily an exact match.
