1750 grey knight mordrak

40K Army: Daemonhunters

After playing a few games with my draigo wing army i felt like doing something different. this new list is all about the deepstrikeing the whole army, this is done based around mordrak. Its ment to be fun to play and a different army for other people to play against.

4 ghost knights - 160
ordo malleus inquisitor, 3 servo skulls, terminator armour, force weapon, psychic communion, psybolt ammo - 109

callidus assassin - 145

10 grey knight strike squad, 2 psycannon, 1 hammer - 230
10 grey knight strike squad, 2 psycannon, 1 hammer - 230
5 grey knight terminators, 1 psycannon - 225
5 grey knight terminators, 1 psycannon - 225
5 grey knight terminators, 1 psycannon - 225

The total cost of the list is 1749. the general plan is to deep strike mordrak into terrain as they dont scatter and should have a good cover save against shooting. with the inquisitor with them i should be able to get both psychic communions off and am planning on getting the whole army down turn 2 with small scatter with the help of the servo skulls.

When writing this list there were a number of changes that were made. to begin with there was a librarian with a bunch of powers and a teleport hommer. while the powers were helpful the chances of getting the whole army turn 2 is lower and the inquisitor give me more options with deepstriking because i can place the skulls across the battlefield and helps with the deep strike.

Also the 20 grey knights were at one point a full unit of 10 grey knights with double psycannon, but i think the double strike squad gives me more options, more scoring units and of course more psycannon.

What do people think? any changes?

I have to say its avery good list. Heres a couple of tips though. for the 4 Ghost knight its only 120 points as the 1st one is free. Use those 40 points to give the regular grey Knights psybolt ammunition. Just as fair warning, look out for horde armies or treadheads(ohhhhhhh boy...). Those armies are gonna need you to have a very level head for the whole game cause these guys can hurt, if they do what they're meant to.

How do you figure that? Units size 1-5 at 40pts per model... :/

Was at my local GW and playd a different game, only had time for 1500pt game so dropped the calidus and and one of the strike squad and swapped the other strike squad for more terminators. I really like mordraks unit deepstriking and i'm not too bothered about deep striking into terain if it means that i will live better against their shooting because of the ghost knights rules.

The main thing that i need to work with though is where to put the servo skulls because they all died with little use. they did force some units to move but this benefit will change against certain army.

I got to say i'm not really sure what you mean when i get a free ghost knight :S
