    Finished my Objective markers today!

Now they are Parental Advisory, 18+ only please....

Playboy Playmates seem synonymous with the Vietnam conflict, so why the hell not?! To solve the problem of playing children, the playmates are magnetised to the bases, so I can remove them and then just play with the surfboards.

Also today I painted a model which had been waiting on the side for me to get around to for about two years..... Not strictly anything to do with this blog but I'm going to put the images here anyway...

That is almost certainly Hood, you have a good eye! Got it given as a leaving present from work 2 years ago, assembled it and there it sat for ages haha. Until yesterday I finally thought, "I'm sick of it being grey" haha.

I've painted and washed the two hueys minor details; they just need to be assembled now which I may get on with tonight, or I might end up going to the pub, not sure :P - Such lovely weather.

Thanks for the renewed feedback SDKFZ, you seem to be the only one reading my plog, and its really appreciated.

Strange......... You deserve more viewers then poor old me.

It was Hood, lucky strike ! As i said, im no good with ships.

Cant you run the LEDs with button batteries ? I dont know much about electics but they do come in 1.5 and i think 3 v. Do your LEDs need all that juice ?

Love to see how those Hueys turned out. But then again.........have a pint for me too
We also had a lovely day today......but i had to work til seven

Well, I've built one of the Hueys, this time a vendetta, and done a quick mockup with the weapons mount. They ar ehelp in place with two rods through the whole chassis of the vehicle. What do you think?

(Obvs a lot of painting and weathering to go)

Ooooh, dead excited to show these off! Dead proud of them! I also got around to properly magnetisin the rotors, so you can knock them on accident and they will spin but stay in place; they will also not move much when moving the models themselves anyway, the Vendetta:

    And the second Valkyrie:

The Squadron so far with bases, and some closeups of them with the bases. The bases are resin buildings and are yet to be grafted onto the Valkyrie bases I have, but the rods come loose and the Valkyries come loose from the rods for transportation.

Yeah, those are crazy cool. So much real life that it fits perfectly into 40k, paradoxically enough...

I kinda hope you didnt, but you'll probably notice that the new Valkyrie has a bodged section above the right side pilots seat - thats because all the kit was warped and a complete pig to put together - I'm hoping I covered it up well enough with weathering powders so it looks like its either a spot mend or just been shot through/corroded.

Thanks for the great comments guys. Only need 3 more, and I will be able to actually play!

No, I am not dead! Just very, very tired. Finally got round to spraying and washing stuff yesterday. I'm wanting to get this army finished for the undoubted resurgence of 40K following 6th ed at my local wargaming club after its release - Knowing GW, It will probably be made a useless list by then anyway and I'll never actually get to play with them.

Re: Smells Like..... Victory - IG Project Log

Finally got back to work proper on these - I know you guys want more Hueys but I've told myself I can do them once I've finished painting all the infantry I need for the army.

As of right now I've finished 8 Guardsmen completely:

Have 9 more guardsmen to finish (Already done the greens, whites and browns):

And grafted the buildings onto the bases for the three completed valkyries:

I still have no idea how im going to store and transport those bases. haha.

PS Sorry for the crappy pics, my camera broke and I've had to send it off for repair so these are dont on my phone

That triple lascannon seems like it might drain the battery every time it fired! Like when you over task a circuit and every time you switch something on, the lights flicker, seems like that would be a bit dodgy if you were also relying on that same power to turn the blades to keep you in the air

Everything looks really great, love the original ideas you use in your army, always fun to see something very different

I have a question for you guys - With the current list do you think I will suffer from having no order capability? Im considering dropping one of the infantry squads and replacing it with a regular company command squad, so at least I'll have some orders. What do you think?

Just a quick Crappy Camera Phone pic to show that I have still been plugging away!

Finished all the infantry now (Unless I decide to go with the CCS rather than the Lord Commissar).

Again, sorry baout the quality of the photos; I'll take proper gallery photois when my camera is fixed.

    Cue Wagner...

Again, Sorry for the crappy photos - Could be 2 weeks more before I get my camera back YOu'll notice that I have actually finished two new Valkyries in that last pic. I havent taken photos of it yet, because im waiting for these babies to dry so I can have it completely finished off.

So, Only one Vendetta to go and I've fully completed this army! Just in time for GW to nerf it with the new edition I would have got the last Vendetta done today but I need to acquire the bits for the sponsons, which to buy on their own are about £9 inc postage on eBay. I've saved several LR sprue set in my "My eBay" folder, but it will be a while until I have the sponson parts I'm guessing and can truly finish this army.

Also, I cleaned out the case I keep all my paints, brushes and tools in, and managed to lose all my drill bits for the pin vice (Damnit) - so it looks like I'll have to pay another trip to the hobby store before I can truly finish these off.

Anyway, let me know what you think! (I'll do proper gallery photos and army shots when I have everything finished and my camera back properly). Also don't forget to let me know whether you think I should go with a CCS rather than a Lord Commissar!

    Cheers

Just finished the 2nd Vendetta (minus Sponsons because I refuse to pay more for those than I paid for the model)
