I like the look of them, though I do wonder if it was really necessary to rename everything.

    145 paints times £2.30 is................. £333.50.

What a fu king joke, absolutely no point in ever buying the Citadel Paint Bundle. Doesn't even come with brushes like the old paint case deal, Gameswork Shop continue to be a sell out conglomerate (decent model makers & heartless businessmen)

Yeah, no need to rename everything. I'll slowly start to integrate some of these new colors into my pile, but for the most part I don't see anything here worth all the trouble.

Pretty sure you get an Army Figure Case with it. So saves a bit. Still not a great purchase IMO unless for some reason you use every last one of their paints >.>

... You never need 'all' of them, and even if you did you wouldn't want '1 of each'. Some colors/washes go much faster than others. Anyone buying that bundle is gonna be left with lots of pots that will just collect dust, and run out of others that will need replacing. If you saved alot of money there it'd be one thing. But this is just.. crazy.

Lots of new variety here though. That I like. I'm gonna have to go back to the list and see if they've included a true Pink color once more.. because that was missing from the previous range. *lol*

In Aus prices, it literally doesn't save a cent. However, as mentioned, it does come with a figure case. Still, who the hell is going to drop $870 on a bunch of small pots of paint??

Probably the same people who will shell out hundreds of dollars on the worthless Realm of Battle board.

Games-Workshop has been kind enough to include a conversion chart on their website. I hope this addresses your concern.

I think there is plenty here to look forward to, like the nice assortment of greys, and it looks like GW finally has a decent Olive Drab in the range (I used to mix my own with Bubonic Brown and Chaos Black).

looks like that was taken right out of the how to paint miniatures since theres a page number in the corner. it got my hopes up that we would see a new catalog till i saw that the paint guide was 136 pages and the paint conversion was page 120

    Re: New Paints are up!

I really didn't think this release would be at all a big deal to me, but to be honest, I'm finding myself pretty stoked about the new paint range. First of all, I'm in the process of starting an army from scratch, having just gotten into Warhammer Fantasy, and my paint selection(well, Citadel Paint selection, anyway...) has been almost doubled. Lots of possibilities and good stuff going on with that. Also, as a rather new painter I really like the different categories they've applied to certain types of paint product, like the "Citadel Dry" and the "Citadel Shade". To some of the more veteran painters out there this may seem a little lame, but for someone like myself, it gives an idea of how best to use the paint, and even helps in figuring out and being successful with the whole process of painting a miniature, and all the various techniques that usually have to be used to do that. I'm actually really itching to get started on my Boyz now, and make full use of "all the pretty colours"...

The "How to Paint Citadel Miniatures" book, and the DVD that comes along with it, are also something that I'll definitely be picking up. Again, for a essentially new painter, I think it'll be very valuable, and the accompanying DVD is something I'm looking forward to as well. Until I learn something to contrary from some kind of horrible personal experience or something with these products, it's all good stuff. I'm super pleased.

Pretty big changes here actually. Prices and unattractive bundle aside, the new paint types are really intriguing. So they have basecoats, (including some they didnt have before) but the new textures, drys, and glazes, are something that I can't wait to try. If the drys (for drybrushing) and the textures (for bases etc) aren't really really good I think they might be terrible with little middle ground.
Is not Thunder Stomp itself a special rule? If that is your argument then Thunder Stomp can not be allowed to let you Thunder Stomp, as being able to Thunder Stomp benefits Thunder Stomp, therefore you can't use the Thunder Stomp rule in conjunction with Thunder Stomping to Thunder Stomp. ~Aglemar
