My Razorwings can do it reliably.
De have so much anti infantry I don't think it's necessary. what is needed is anti tank and that is where the ravagers come in.

Oh yeah. My friend's rhino horde marines are the bane of my orks' existence, and this thing will help out nicely.

The more I think about it, the more I think I need three dakkajets...

I do hope they build on this idea of adding different Waaagh abilities to different units.

Looking at my WD now, each page with the rules for the vehicles has the codex its connected to. The Stormtalon says "codex space marines" also as mentioned before it says in the editorial at the beginning.

    **Edit**

Just looked at the double page spread on page 1, "Space marine Stormtalon Official Update to Codex:Space marines on page 66"

That'd be fantastic! Lootas with extra dakka and so on, very cool idea!

Or at bs 4 if you take the fighta ace and are shooting at most things. Would it be correct to assume the fighta ace and extra shoota are going to be mandatory upgrades?

They are however sadly, photoshopped models against painted backgrounds with edited effects. While I know it's a good indication towards full colour hardback books for 40K post-6th edition, I'm hoping it will be more art and less box-covers.

To be fair, forge world does that too...
Honestly, regardless of rules I'm going to buy one, just the variety and quality of the kit makes me very very excited!

Well, fighter ace and strafing don't really interact. Strafing gives +1 BS against everything except Jump Infantry, Jetbikes and Skimmers. Fighter Ace makes you BS3 against Jetbikes and Skimmers. So when one applies, the other does not.

I don't know where people keep getting these ideas.

Strafing Run: +1 BS when shooting at stuff not covered by Fighta Ace
Fighta Ace: +1 BS when shooting at stuff not covered by Strafing Run

There is no overlap. In fact, Jump Infantry falls through altogether.

Make that new original art, not just colourized B&W images. The prospect of fresh material makes me wonder what they have in store for the next round of Chaos books (WoC and CSM).

Hmm, maybe an easy fix for the oversized turret in the Talon nose. If the ring is the same size as a razorback turret, or at least close, you could replace the heavy bolters in the side pods with assault cannon barrels from land speeders or terminators, and magnetize razorback turrets to hang under the nose. That would cover the heavy bolter and las cannon options easily, or the assault cannon options if you want to keep them in the centerline.

    Any chance of pictures guys?

Pictures of what? The fliers and rules all had pics posted on earlier pages. They could use a roundup on the first post, but to be fair, they should be going up for preorder tomorrow.

Can't wait to see sprue pics of the Ork plane. Options on it are crazy. Marine and Necron flier I can basically part out just by looking at them. Ork, I want to see how they did it.

I think my white dwarf had a couple of miss prints.
Both ork bombers said their bombs COULDN'T be used while going flat out rather than CAN be used whilst going flt out, weird no?

Seriously though I loved all the different angles and close ups.

Also bummed that Dark angels can't take storm talons, as my outflanking ravenwing squad would love one as an escort.

Should not have to fix a kit that costs this much, produced by "the best miniatures company in the world"

    Isn't that the Finecast argument?
