Are you implying we don't do that anyway?

best guess at this point based off of interchangeable kits that are now quite standard, it should be the same as those found on the Battlewagon and Trukk in terms of turrets.

This needs to include throwing dice at each other and looking at what numbers came up on them on the next pass to determine damage.

Did anybody else facepalm by reading the today's flyer-blog-post from GW? They really mentioned Storm Ravens, Valkyries and Vypers in the same paragraph. Oh yea, what strong skimmers, really. Oh wait.

I genuinely laughed aloud when I saw Vypers in that mix. Sting like a butterfly, dance like a bee......

Who knows? Maybe they'll give our Vypers Flyer Rules in the next edition. Of course, they might do the same to Land Speeders...

It really was "Feeling left out? Don't worry there are still plenty of other toys for you to blow cash on...." GW ethos, everybody needs to buy something during EVERY release :-P

How about upgrading all Eldar skimmers to flyers with the option of switching to skimmer mode?

Valkyries aren't bad, but seriously they need to knock this "don't feel left out, buy your own fliers" thing out. Anyone worth their water content in their body knows to wait until we see 6th edition before buying anything else.

So disappointed in GW right now. I remember the days they invited you to convert, build, and paint your models (and terrain) however you wanted. Now they regulated how to build them, show you step by step how you are supposed to paint them, and pretty much shove their fist down your throat to remind you to buy their terrain.

    Re: Autumn of Fliers

It wasn't the promotion I had a problem with, but even trying to compare an overpriced AV10 open topped skimmer to a Valkyrie or Storm Raven is just ridiculous. They talked about all the shiny new hefty flyers/skimmers and then mention the worst thing the Eldar currently have in the arsenal.

Or maybe it's a not-so-subtle hint that the vyper is going to be classified as a flier in another month or so? That may end up being a big deal

Bought my 1st WD in years this morn. I rather like the marine gunship, well I'll like it providing I leave the daft assault cannon off it.

I think the thrust engines splayed under it are very well done. Just dump the oversized cannons.

Bad news, fellow gamers. The latest WD is sold out on the USA online store. Grab a copy at a local store as soon as possible!

Today they have a Tau piranha, so I just think it is a reminder to buy something, not any secret hint. When I saw that DA flyer painted red yesterday it occurred to me it really could be a stand in for a nightwing or something, perhaps with a subtle conversion.

I'm wondering if there's been a sharp decline in 40K sales across the board as people hold on to their money for 6th.

Probably a bit? I would imagine it will switch into overdrive shortly however.
