Spoke to the owner of my LGS and she told me that the GW rep told her the new WD was already shipping and she was expecting it sometime this week. I am not holding my breath on this one, but rest assurred I will be sure to share all photos should this pan out to be true.

I think you may be right but I hate the thought. First my blood angels don't get the privilege of riding around on giant wolves (or a vampire bat equivalent) and now this! Well... i guess we'll have to settle for our shiny nipple armour.

2) BT - have already shown that flyers and air support don't greatly fit their style of warfare. Compared with many other chapters, they lean more towards an attrition-based brutal combat. In the tradition of the Imperial Fists enemies are confronted and bludgeoned into oblivion. Thus their development of the crusader pattern land raider for use in seiges. Its also mentioned that the "pinte" multi-metla on the crusader was added to the design after being canibalized from Land speeders which were far too light for the heavier seige warfar the BT excel at.

Then again, the BT, as a fleet-based chapter, might be one of a few chapters to actually have a more specialized air-superiority fighter/interceptor. They wouldn't want to have to deploy precious thunderhawks just to engage enemy attack craft in a fleet-based action.

See, this second part makes sense to me. The first part... has nothing in common with any BT army that I've ever seen. It might be closer to the background, but it certainly isn't how BT usually come across.

Agreed, why wouldn't they use air units? I think it is a great fit, they are a fleet based chapter... air power makes a lit if sence, especially since they don't use devastators it would add some heavy support.

In the background of a few of the ultra marine pics there was a storm raven styled ship with both a nose mounted multi melta and lascannon. Perhaps it was his home-brew Stormraven, but perhaps a teaser as the article didn't address it. What are your thoughts?

Nah, it's a normal SR, as it has cargo capacity. The turret has been modeled as nose guns.

That's the BoW video podcast which had the drawings of the flyers (see page 25).
