Fantastic work, very clean and stylish paint style you have. I have never seen anyone paint deathwing terminators in a style that I like, you are the first.
an amazing army. And loving the limited palette on the deathwing.
Damn. these look better than the 'Eavy metal ones. I'm not just saying that either. I've seen the 'Eavy Metal ones IRL and these knock spots off them. Love the disembarkation shot.
If you like what I've said please return the favour
{ Champions of El'Jonson: The Deathwing }{ Dark Eldar: Purple and Spiky }
{ Mordheim } { Tale of three (sometimes four) painters }
Thank you - that's a very bold statement. I haven't however seen 'eavy metal ones IRL but I am grateful for appreciation nonetheless.
Unfortunately I am still waiting for my FW order (deathwing shoulder pads) to arrive - I don't know what's happening I placed it on the 6th of april and they haven't sent it yet (!!). I am really furious right now
Due to that I started assembling 2nd tactical squad. I suppose I finish them before the deathwing.
Hi guys, my forgeworld order arrived before I managed to fully assemble marines for 2nd tactical squad - I abandonded them and started the Deathwing.
After a week of hard work they are completed:

they look incredibly good!! wow...i love them
I echo what Mega Nutz and Breazer have already said. That is by far my favorite looking DW army!
glad you like them! Nothing new here except for assembled 2nd tactical and some new pictures of latest Deathwing:

It's weird, I'm not normally a fan of Dark Angels.
I don't have any rational explanation as to why, their background history is one of the most interesting, and their models are appealing because they are so different to vanilla marines, but for whatever reason I just don't normally like the colour scheme.
For some reason though your army has converted me, these really are lovely. Nice clean style with very subtle weathering, and for some reason your greens just "pop" more than usual.
But for me the highlight of this army has to be your Raven Wing, the black is beautifully done, not something that is easy to pull off.
I also like the subtle change to the Death Wing colour that works much better for me, and you don't seem to have used as much green on them as others do.
Very lovely army indeed.
And don't even start me on the change to GW paints, I went out and bought 13 pots of Ultramarines blue before the changeover, as none of the new colours match it.
the colours used for the green are perfect, i like the way you have achieved a really matt look to the armour. the forgeworld dark angels dread would fit nicely in here in the deathwing scheme you have used too. as the above poster says, even though the background is interesting and it has variety compared to other armies, they a have just not ever caught my eye, until seeing this.
