Team rosters - Amazon, Human, Ogre, Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh, Khemri, Beastmen

Follow the link for the current houserule rosters for the following teams,

    Human
    Ogre
    Khemri
    Amazon
    Beastmen
    Khorne
    Slaanesh
    Khemri

The first three are not my work. They are taken from the NTBB rules pack on talkfantasyfootball.com and are endorsed by ex-members of the BBRC. They aren't official rules, but it's the closest you can get to an official update.

Of the other five teams, three are in a place where I can honestly say I'll probably not make any more changes.

The Amazon and Khorne teams are still in flux. In about six weeks, I'll know whether I'm making any more changes. The Amazon team may change because I'm not sure whether the team is complete. The Khorne team just needs a little extra something to make it completely unique.

If you have any criticisms, ideas or questions, throw them my way.

About the Ogres house rules. How did you motivate the 10k discount?

I think the original teams designed to be a harder to play should be played by more experienced players. There are only a few of them anyway, and it's a nice handicap factor for leagues with coaches of mixed experience.

I'm not saying I don't like balanced teams in my leagues, but would you consider house rules for Halflings..?

The reason behind the 10k reduction for Ogres is straightforward. In many players experience (including members of the old BBRC) the 140k for Ogres was just a touch too much. The team doesn't become magically more effective for the 10k reduction, but it does reduce the uphill struggle when starting out with the team somewhat. They still have all the familiar issues. You can basically afford an extra team re-roll.

Like I said, the new listings for Human, Khemri and Ogre aren't my work. They make pragmatic sense, bringing the teams up a little in terms of starting ability and fixing what have been seen in recent years as glaring errors that will never be repaired. You'll note the Human Ogre is also 130k.

I wouldn't change Halflings, other than maybe giving them some kind of positional player (Halfling Thrower maybe) that wouldn't change the effectiveness of the team at all, except for giving you some kind of semi-effective play option. He'd just be a halfling with pass, passing skill access and possibly sure hands (after all, halflings are good at throwing rocks, so why not footballs?)

Hi Zerodemon. You say in the previous post that the Ogre and Khemri lists aren't your work... Can I ask if it's Plasmoids 'Narrow Tier' rules you're using? It's just because if you are, being a Khemri player I noticed you've missed the reduction in AV for the Tomb Guardians. The 10k cost increase covers the addition of Break Tackle but the reduction in AV is to offset the removal of Decay. Much as I'd rather my Tomb Guardians were set up that way I think they might be a bit undercosted as you have them. I'd be very interested to know if anyone in your league is playing Khemri and how they pan out for them as we are using Plasmoids rules in our league next season!
