Current book says the following of their deaths:
Eventually, however, a Fanatic will stumble, throttle himself with his chain or simply collapse, dying in a maniacal and convulsive fit. Through it all, Fanatics have a crazed, euphoric expression and even in death many Fanatics bear a self-satisfied and tongue lolling grin.

Dark Elf Spearman might as well be a Red Shirt from Star Trek

I would say Night Runners-especially given how long mine last! I'm sure anything they actually manage to achieve on the battlefield is merely a pleasant side effect to the
Darwinian pruning process required to turn 1000 Night runners into 10 Gutter runners!

I would say definitely Skaven Slaves.
They're deliberately and remorselessly used as cannon fodder.
They're thrown in droves at the enemy to tire them out and hold them up while the Skaven artillery fire inaccurately into the fray.
And lastly they're often fired upon and killed after a battle too so that there are less mouths to feed in total and so that the more important members of the clan can eat well that night.

    Skavenslaves COULD survive.
I think the lowest life expectancy are indeed Fanatics, or Mangler herders. Those are pretty sure to die.
Night Gobbo Shamans maybe in there too, as eating poisoned muchrooms isn't the best recepi for a long healthy life

I think a Skavenslave would be rather lucky to even make it to a battle in which to die. Taking a handgun blast to the face or getting bisected by an axehead bigger than your torso are comparatively better ways to go out than starving/getting eaten alive/used for experiments/tortured for sport.

The Red Guardsmen. Especially the Red Cavalry (mounted yeoman equivalents), although the rank and file men at arms and archers generally die extremely quickly.
    Now just doing Battle Reports.

But fanatics are guaranteed death by the current armybook. An abysmally small chance to survive means skavenslaves have far better odds than fanatics as the latter doesn't have a chance at all.

Zombies have the shortest life span. Steadfast can keep the other choices around for a while, but you lose roughly double the number you lose. against horde halbreds, you lose probably...13 guys. They will kill a few, but they will crumble about 10 more. 13 wounds=23 dead zombies ....alot v-v

I find myself fighting dwarfs more often than not,
so any monster/chariot I take rarely survives to turn 2 or 3

I don't care to do all the math and the go-betweens on this one, but the answer you're looking for is: Goblins. It's always Goblins.

Well the describtion of a skaven slaves live in the current book also doesn't sound like much fun.
But game wise i would think anny kind of redirector. Thes things are sure to die every battle.
