Hi all, ive been a bit bored this weekend, and am away from my little plastic men for a few months, so in order to get my fix, i knocked this together. Care to take a look?

It's a ruleset for chariot racing. Im sure theres a few around, but this is my attempt.

In short, it uses the gorkamorka vehicle movement rules, along with their rules for ramming (tweaked a bit here and there). Only that in gorkamorka you can use thrusters as many times as you like within your turn, and then your opponent gets his turn; here the turn is subdivided into rounds and everyone gets a chance to move within each round.
This is then coupled with old style chariots where you can damage the chariot, the horses or the crew, and with current warhammer rules for shooting and damage.
There is one chariot profile for all competitors, and a couple of basic options to customise it. I thought this would be a better approach than trying to include points values and balance the various wacky contraptions of the old world.

Check it out, let me know what you think!

Ha.. looks great. You may want to update it for 8th edition though. Its a subtle difference, but this was designed with no premeasuring in mind.

The main example I am thinking of is Galloping. Where the rules ask you to name a movement value you want to gallop. This is interesting when you cant premeasure, but with premeasuring you can always declare the best number of inches.

Possible alternative. Declare a number of inches you would like to gallop (1-6). Roll a D6. If you roll above this number you may move that many inches. You could probably think of a better solution though.

Thanks for the posting. I was looking for a Chariot racing ruleset a while back and could not find one for warhammer. There is a good one for Warmaster though.

    Re: Warhammer Chariot Racing!

Ive made a few small modifications to my chariot racing rules, primarily clarifying how a turn is enacted, which was terribly written before, and making some small changes throughout the document. Im on the lookout for a small overhead diagram of a chariot so that I can replace the diagrams with something more appropriate, and make some new ones of my own, but if anyone has any other suggestions or comments please let me know

StygianBeach, that is a good point keeping it in line with 8th edition, for now Ive left the guessing distances in but added that when a ram is evaded the rammer continues a further D6 inches so that there is a chance of them hitting something as a result of their recklessness, which was the only reason I wanted no premeasuring.
