All I needed to see and read was Colossal Squig and my Night Goblin Warboss's empire demands I purchase this book for his future scheming. For we all know, the world needs MOAR SQUIGS! I wish I could manage to get in Sunday dangit.. would love to get my hands on this early while friends are back in town for Easter. :'(
Really looking foward to this book,, great to see some new and orginal concepts for monsters in the warhammer world. In particular I want to see the Dread Maw as a model, ( I have a sneaking suspicion the large ghoul looking creature with the distended mouth in the video is the dread maw though thats just speculation).
Also of the Colossal cave squig is made into a model i hope they approach it by making it into several pieces with a hollow interior, would make for a lighter model and cheaper. I just can't imagine how much that would cost if it was made as one solid chunk of resin, it;s near to chaos mammoth in stature in the artwork by the looks of it.
I must say I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. Tamurkhan was a fantastic book and worth every penny crammed full of new artwork, background and a host of new unit entries. If the list posted earlier is correct a significant number of the 32 entries in MA are ones already presented in Tamurkhan leaving only just over 20 new entries and I fear a very weak campaign / narrative added to excuse their use, it just feels a very poor follow up to Tamurkhan and at only the size of a normal army book quite expensive at £32 in comparison to the £45 for Tamurkhan.
I hope I will be proven wrong and I'll take a look on Sunday at the open day and feedback my impressions here but this just feels a bit of a let down after the promised 90 monster tome just like Tamurkhan whilst fantastic made me very disappointed they didn't carry on with their original 4 book plan even if interspersed with other books to keep other factions appeased. I literally could not wait to get my hands on Tamurkhan but this one I may well skip as voting with the wallet appears to be the only language business understands and I expect more from Warhammer Forge in terms of the books so really hope they go back to the quality and scope we saw in Tamurkhan.

Due to recent petrol strikes that are yet to be happening and having everyone panick buying fuel, I shall not be driving for 2hours up to Nottingham. Damn those *********** jobsworth bastards nobodies job is safe, point of rant is. I hope those of you who do go can send us just juicy information, which will be greatly appreciated by me.
You silly Brits and your government going out of its way trying to destroy your economy... lol. At least my US government is only doing nothing to help our economy.
The reason why they didn't do four Tamurkhan books was because they changed the plot to a single stand alone campaign rather than a new 4 part Storm of Chaos, not because they didn't want to do four books. I think it was a good move. That way they can do more of the campaigns which fit into the background. I predict they'll explore more of the periphery stuff. Albion, Araby, Southlands, Cathay, Nippon, Hob Goblins, and whatever else strikes their fancy.
I just added up the cost of all the hardcover stuff and including the Rulebook, 5 new armybooks (including Empire), Storm of Magic, Monstrous Arcana, and Tamurkhan its like 450 USD. Eh... worth it.![]()

Hi
Have you noticed that all optional rules from the forgeworld site have disappeared with the appearance of the Arcanum?...
I hope the rules for the marienburg class landship will included somewhere...
Sincerely
