    Thundertusk Brewery - Dwarf Brewhouse

Hi, I thought It might be a good idea to add this in here just in case anyone is interested.

I'm heading to Warhammer world next month for the doubles tournament and I thought we would go with a joint Dwarf / High elf army, and as we are allowed to take a piece of scenery, what better than to a Dwarf Brewhouse!

To get some ideas I had a look round the internet and saw a few different renditions, but none I really liked, but I saw one that took several parts from other building and put them together, which seemed like a good idea.

So this is what I've come up with so far, I'll show it in the different stages I have pictures for.

I imagine that it would be a Pub / Brewery

Because I'm doing an ogres army at the moment I had some extra bits left over, so with a spare thunder tusk head I thought I'd add that above the door, hence the name and an Ogre outside keeping guard/drinking up the beer with the spare rider from the ogre kit I think it looks quite good sat on one of the barrels.

A bit of paint added, I'm trying to keep with the muted tones I'm painting my Dwarfs with, and I'll be adding autumnal forage around the Brewhouse, possibly a tree in one of the corners to add a bit more colour.

I've added a bit more paint and colour to is since this last photo and I'll hopefully upload that picture later.

Also I think I need to add some more Dwarfy stuff to make it more dwarf looking rather that ogrey or empirey.

Comments suggestions and feedback are all welcome.

Well, I agree with you that it looks more Ogry and Empiry than Dwarfy right now, but that is really the only "complaint" I would have. I love the building. Cool name, very cool idea and great execution. Never would have imagined seeing those bitz used in a fantasy piece, but they work well. Might do the same some day.

It might have looked more Dwarfy if it was built in or on a rocky outcropping. Hard to pull off now though.

Well it does not look very dwarfy, it looks great though. I like the details, like the ogre bruiser and dwarf sign. Who knows what imperial dwarfs build these days, it probably fits the scenery in WH world better as well.

    Good job so far!

Very impressive looking, though Little Joe has a point. It could probably be a dwarf pub in the empire no problem though.

Wow what a great terrain piece! Great job good sir. BTW I think it's been pictured on Warhammer World's FB gallery.

Nice brewery! I like the way you have used the otherwise boring citadel buildings to make something else.

It's from a chemical plant construction set I bought a while ago, just did a search and it looks like wayland games sell it now too
