Hi, I saw some Warmachine/hordes in my local games store today - awesome looking models up close . The pics online really dont flatter the details with such bright, contrasting colour schemes.
The models on the board were Skorne and Khador. I know alot of the models are metal but are the battle boxes/war packs metal or plastic??
I lifted a skorne gladiator beast thing (gently of course) and it felt much light than expected. I guessed it was metal and plastic but after getting home and looking at some unboxing videos online it appears all metal. Then of course I've read PP changed the started sets to resin recently, is this true? I've also see on this forum than the battle boxes are being made in plastic also?
So basically i'm confused: Is it resin or metal? And are they releasing new plastic kits in the next few weeks?? (I'll wait of plastic personally)
Sorry it's such a long winded post for such a simple question, it's just I've bought my first finecast today (commissar yarrick) and it seems pretty awesome actually - very little flash, light, crisp detail, very very slightly flexible material and no miscasts.
I'm not looking forward to building/transporting those skorne warbeasts if they are metal...
Many thanks for any replies.
PS. The staff at the store were really helpful and enthusiastic - especially about Warmachine/hordes. Very passionate about the game system and said it was the stores biggest seller. Given that I live in the UK I found this all very encouraging as a potential new player. So, a big shoutout to them * cough*firestorm games *cough* . Thanks.
