Team 8; Da Big 'Unz
Nubk and Kubn grew up together in the tunnels of their tribe; each respectable-ish gnoblar warriors of some esteem, and, as much as any Gnoblars can be, were 'friends'; fighting together, eating together, hiding from hungry ogres together. That is until the fateful day when they found different shiniez.
While sneaking scraps from their ogres after a battle, Kubn chanced upon a magic Gem; while Nubk found himself a magic Seed. The argument over the scrap started a deep rivalry to prove whose was the best, escalating further and further beyond all reason. Now, seated atop the tribe's slave-giants, Nubk and Kubn will prove once and for all which is better in open competition: Mojo Seed or Mojo Gem! Who will reign supreme!!
Nubk: Night Goblin Big Boss: Enchanted Shield, Potion of Speed, Seed of Rebirth; Riding a Giant
Kubn: Night Goblin Big Boss: Enchanted Shield, Potion of Speed, Tormentor Sword, Dragonbane Gem; Riding a Giant
Tactics: If they opponent has a flaming attack, send in Kubn. Otherwise, send in Nubk. Always drink their potion on the first turn.

Rules Questions: How does Terror interact with the initial charges? Do items/effect Combat Results have any effect? Is either character considered my "general" for special effects?
Team 9
The M'Shrag people of north-western Naggroth worship two goddesses: The Child and The Crone. These Gods govern all aspects of life in sacred duality: birth, death; love, hate; peace, war. These two powers are opposites, but not foes. Part of a complete sacred duality.
The Child, the force of creation, appears as a care-free young girl with pure white skin and black hair. No worry in her mind, only pure joy and laughter, even in battle. She is associated with the Air and Fire, and is pulled into the mortal world by a flock of flaming doves as she lounges.
The Child: Herald of Tzeentch: Power Vortex, Flames of Tzeentch, Winged Horror; Chariot of Tzteentch
The Crone, the force of death, is a rotted woman with dead-black skin and pure-white hair; associated with the Earth and Water, she is often mud-covered and digs out of the ground as she appears in the mortal world. She is bitter and angry, and spiteful in battle, but never speaks or makes any sound at all.
The Crone: Herald of Nurgle; Bale-Sword, Noxious Vapors
Tactics:
Send in The Child first if the opponent has flaming attacks, or if they are not a spellcaster
Send in The Crone first if the opponent is a spellcaster and lacks flaming attacks
The Child's Magic Tactics: Starting with 5 Dice
Use Two Dice to cast Flickering Fire of Tzeentch
Use Two Dice to cast Boon of Tzeentch
~IF they are a spell-caster, use 2 Dice to cast Glean Magic to cast whatever their most destructive spell is (I will make a list later)
~IF they are not a spell-caster, use 3 Dice to cast Bolt of Change

My own rules questions:
Can Tomb-Wraiths/Banshees out of the newer VC book take magic items?
What happens if a character rides a monster that normally comes with handlers?
Naan, Spedgal, great to see you two here. For your questions:
From past arenas, psychology does nothing here. No terror, no fear, no crumbling, no fleeing.
Any unit champions can take a lord's choice of magic items. So tomb-wraiths/banshees could take 100 points of magic items, but no powers. Likewise, a dragon ogre could take 100 pts of magic items, but no gifts.
And when you ride monsters, you don't get the handlers and all attacks automatically go to the rider. If the rider dies, the monster wanders off.
Makes me want to revise my team a bit. Makes me want to replace the Orc Warboss with a Marauder Champion riding a Hellcannon. Is it too late to switch teams once posted?
Yeah, can we revise our lineups before the beginning?
Also, can we duplicate our magic item choices (IE: both of our guys have Opal Amulets or whatever)?
Also, does 'ride any monster' mean just units with the Monster type, or does it include Monstrous Infantry (ride a Dragon Ogre!) Monstrous Beasts (Ride a Chaos-Spawn!) or War Beast (Ride a Chaos-Hound!)?

up until mal says its locked you may change caracters
and yes I belive as long as there not direct dupicates of each other you can have exactly the same magic items (the 4+ ward save tree of the arena, just like the free dagger tree of mordime does exisit)
as for monsters, I've just read it as normal monsters but you will have to check monsters

9 teams in, 7 more to go. Get the word out people!
More Rules Questions:
~Are spells that transform units available? (Transformation of Kadon, or perhaps The Dread 13th)
~Spells that destroy magic items (Vaul's Unmaking), how do they work here?
In past arenas transformation spells and 13th are allowed. Just remember, if you miscast you take d6 wounds with no saves allowed. I have bad memories of characters being eaten by dragons...
As for spells, good question. I'd guess that if they go off they would only work on a 4+, but it is Malorian's call.
