French and Prussians for the german war of liberation 1813-1814

    Hi,

Some of you might have seen me and my cousins blog http://ploughsharestoswords.blogspot.se/. I feel it would be interesting to do a project log also so I and Anders the younger can get some direct feedback from the Warseer community considering our painting efforts.

What we are working on right now:

I'm currently working on a french Line battalion carrying an eagle 34 models strong, 10 done so far and 2 bases of skirmishers. After they are done I will focus on cavalry for a while

Anders the younger is currently painting his second Prussian grenadier battalion and after that he will start on a second Landwehr battalion and continue with his hussars.

    The Plan:

Without going into specifics (see the blog for that), I will have 8 infantry battalions and 4 cavalry squadrons. Of those 5 battalions are done so far and so are 2 squadrons.

Anders the younger is going to have 9 infantry battalions and 4 smaller cavalry squadrons. He is done with 2 infantry battalions and has started on the cavalry.

Some of what we have done so far:

    The French:

    Great work!

So nice to see another Historical log here (and a Napoleonic one to boot!).

There are a few places where using a wash on metalics would work well (metal helmets etc). Otherwise the painting is very nice

    Please keep posting!

    Which rules will you use?

    Happy gaming,

    Allan

    Hi and thank you,

I think it should be the pictures because I use quite a lot of washes on my metallics.

Rules are going to be Republic to empire from League of augsburg we are planning to put up a post on the blog about the system in the future.

On the painting table now are two more line battalions in Bardin regulation uniforms, One Eagle battalion and one regular battalion. So far I'm done with the 2 command bases and 1 grenadier bases while 12 line infantry are in the wip stage.

Anders the younger are currently working on a west Prussian grenadier battalion, he is done with the command bases and have 24 of in wip.

After the line infantry I will probably add a squadron to the Dragoon and Curassier units. Anders the younger will problay start with either a landwehr battalion or a line battalion.

    Regars,

    Anders tje elder

    Hi,

life has come in the way for out Napoleonic project the last two weeks in the shape of work and school. But we have still been able to produce some miniatures and terrain!

As it stands now the French are almost 75% done and the Prussian are at 25%

We would as always love some feedback.

So please come on by and see more pictures at Ploughshares to swordsl

They look very impressive lined up like that!

Can I blame you for the order of napoleonic figures I put in. My wife will want someone to blame

I have British and French on order but can certainly see myself getting some Prussians and maybe even some Russians.

    Happy gaming,

    Allan

Snyggt! Line 'em up and shoot 'em down. Do you plan to do cavalry and artillery next?

    Hi,

Thank you we are very happy with the results so far.

Next is mass producing trees and hedges and maybe some french brigade generals if the spark strikes me. The Prussians are gearing up with the 2nd Silesians hussars and some Silesian fusiliers.

    Regards,

    Anders the elder
