Warseer Update on April 9th

Now that I have a day off from work to do the update I will perform the following upgrades.

Update will be around 0700PST/1000EST/1300GMT

vBulletin 4.1.11 is a maintenance release focused on improving performance, resolving issues in the CMS, Mobile Style, and issues with high user impact. The release contains:

• 11 user created hook requests, improvement requests, and feature requests.
• 37 issue fixes related to the CMS.
• 31 issue fixes with a severity of Major or higher.
• 15 issue fixes for MAPI and Mobile Style.
• The Premium Mobile Style has been merged into 4.1.11 as part of the standard Mobile Style. A vBulletin Mobile Suite license is no longer required in order to download and install the Premium Mobile Style on forums running vBulletin 4.0-4.1.10. All future vBulletin 4 releases, including vBulletin 4.1.11, will include moderator and administration functionality in the standard Mobile Style.
• Master Mobile Style to support Mobile Style customization and streamline the upgrade process.
• CMS Template Caching to increase performance.
• CDN Support to increase performance.

• VBIV-14079 Can't upload images with the 'Insert Image' popup on Chrome/OSX
• VBIV-14223 External RSS feeds in Arabic are no longer displaying correctly in 4.1.10 when they used to work in 4.1.8

Additional Changes since the 4.1.11 BETA 1 Release:

4.1.11 contains a total of 166 bug fixes, hook requests, improvement requests, and feature requests. A full list of these changes can be found HERE.

We will also be updating to photopost 8.0. Full patch notes not available.

In this update you'll find a new template set for the gallery layout and you'll have a choice between Gallery or Forum styles. We've also enhanced the CSS to use some more attractive visual elements.New features:
. New gallery templates layout
. New mobile interface for smartphone browsers
. BANNED and CENSORED WORDS lists (to prevent posts or censor words)
. Added social sharing icons to showphoto
. Improved AJAX features throughout
. Improved contest features to use AJAX voting
. Some functionality (like ecards) has been removed to help deal with "code bloat" on features that appeared to get very little

I will be reworking some of our beyond stock cache systems due to changes in the core of vbulletin code to decrease page load time.

We will also be updating our backed which I will not bore you with details but is part of keeping our website safe and secure. I expect this to take 1-2 hours assuming no complications.

Update is completed and the mobile style is fixed. I will be taking down the gallery and updating that next.

There is a major bug with the index.php file and I am working to fix asap.

I have narrowed down the bug to the CMS and I am working to fix it.

Bug fixed, its an issue with vbulletin core code and the CMS cache corrupting.

I apologize for the issues before they were an unexpected issue with our cache system when upgrading. This did not appear in testing and I had to debug it live.

I seem to have lost the warseer logo on the tabs just getting the V now.
I also have only vbulletin on my samsung galaxy phone now all the warseer skin has gone which means all the buttons etc have gone and I cannot use it at all..

Bleh I always do that on every upgrade I forget that vbulletin overwrites the favorite icon! Ill fix that now.

Also what are u talking about all the buttons gone? Your phone should be using the new mobile skin which is now fixed and at the bottom you should have an option to click full site.

Found the button now thanks. Im used to my favourites link taking me to warseer and not to another site to then press the full site button..
Probably going to be a few missing the button like me :-)
