From what I remember, the World Eaters' homeworld isn't listed because Angron never went back there for anything. They were a Legion without an official homeworld because he wanted nothing to do with said world after the Big E abducted him.

"Lol. If I read right, the Ultramarines vastly outnumbered the Word Bearers."

    After the surprise attack?

Think they were down to 125-150k after the attack because all the Ultramarines weren't at Calth. Though pretty much all the Word Bearers were wiped out though,so only half of them left or there about.

As has been mentioned earlier and in the novel itself, no.

There were only 50-60k Word Bearers at Calth. The rest 100k were elsewhere with the Primarch. Butcher's Nails explains that I believe as will hopefully, Aaron's next HH novel, Betrayer. The Word Bearers lose about a third of their force compared to the Ultramarines who have suffered over 70% casualties, their Primarch has been gravely wounded and one of their worlds is pretty much turning inhospitable.

Although Kor Phaeron and some of his strike force do survive to retreat towards the Maelstrom according to the old lore. Don't know how the authors will take that up and change it or not.

Yes that was what Shadowhawk was refering to,

The Word Bearers did pretty dam good, the defence network was shattered, even when some order was restored
I expect there was plenty of opportunity to escape
