    LOVE THIS! <3

I've made some mountains for my 40K from the recycled cardboard you get as holders for printers we get at work, they're the perfect size and fit, I'll get them up ASAP.
As our feet sink in the snow. We build a snowman no one will know. For the snow will melt away. As the night turns to day

Here you go, construction done, just knocking out the final bits of painting. I haven't painted the skin tops yet.

I haven't made any terrain in about 5-6 years I reckon, not like this. This was quick, simple and resource friendly. And you get to eat the crisps.

I'll try and remember a finished picture on the battlefield.

Anyone used these before? 99p a packet at hobby craft. Thy're called 'bugle' beads, and 'rocailles' beads. Thought they'd be useful for gun barrels, pipes and maybe even the dreaded 'rivets'

They look OK mate, maybe also look at modelling supplies as well for a price comparison. The is a large variety of plastics that are ideal these days.

Have been playing around with those beads and some cross stitch material. Really getting the necromunda bug again, might start a new thread.......
Anyway, I'm pleased with the shotgun swap, but dont like the beads as rivets. Think the 'mesh' looks ok though, going to try it on a cork base soon.

    Re: Budget / Junk Terrain

For something like that you might be better off with a single drop of PVA glue. Carefully done it will dry as a rivet head.

Still on my quest for the perfect rivet.... I've got access to a laser cutter at work... I wonder how small it will cut hexagons!

    Have found some rivets!

Although if it's just one rivet you're after the pva glue trick works great. (getting consisitency with lots of rivets is tricky though!)
Found some interesting yogurt pots yesterday.... perfect for a little fortress.... update soon

One of my cardboard + EPS foam ruins.

More pics in my blog: http://prowla.net/?p=218

I agree that foamboard is great material. EPS foam is foamboard's big brother without the paper sheet layers, good for big rocks. If you want to go even cheaper, you can use cardboard and fill the edges with construction-grade acrylic putty/spackel. The best thing about cheap materials: you can build it as big as you like!

Hmm, 40K or WFB? What race does it "belong" too? Is it working or in disrepair?

    Cheers fella.

Thinking Imperial 40k.... in a not too run down condition. Might do some work on the top of the pots (ladders and baricades) or maybe put 'statues' up there? Think I'll add some plating to the pots as well (with rivets obviously!)

Those are a bit good Yabba - Just have to convince the other half to let me have some pringles now... "some guy on the internet told me I have to eat pringles!" .... hmmm I'll come up with something better later.
Trying to convince Warseer that GW are anything less than perfect is like trying to teach a horde of zombies that lettuce is a perfectly acceptable alternative to brains.
