Those who know don't care any more, and those who care don't know.
Thanks for the kind comments guys I really do appreciate them,
Since starting the project I've had some Ideas on what marine elements I want add to my Lost and the Damned and and what legion to make them and I've settled on the idea of Word Bearers, since reading know no fear I plan to make them heresy era during/post Calth, So whilst I acquire the needed bits to build the marines I thought I'd make a start on the traitor guard, It's not much but it's a start,

I've used the empire flagellant's with cadian bits and the next two squads will be using the forge world renegade arm sets, name wise I'm thinking Disciples of Lorgar but I'm open to better suggestions
Thanks for looking.
Nice Traitor Guard / Cultists, the idea to make them Word Bearers minions is a good 'un!
If you haven't read it, I recommend the Word Bearers Omnibus because the first novel gives detailed descriptions on how badly they treat their slaves / cultists.![]()
Thanks Mr Feral,
Pretty sure I read the first two Word Bearers novels a good while back, think I'll dig them out and re-read them for inspiration.
At the Coventry GW store we're having a Primarch conversion challenge and although I hadn't originally intended to make Lorgar I really couldn't help myself considering I'm working on a heresy era force, so.... It begins.
Rough mock up for scale
and adding a few details

I am liking the direction your Lorgar is going in!
Lorgar looks amazing! What parts did you use?
Cheers Vomikron Noxis, I'm really pleased with how he's turned out especially since he's almost completely plastic, there is a bit of green stuff around his groin, the back of his knees and in one elbow joint but apart from that he is completely from sprue.
The bits I've used are:
WFB chaos warrior head
WFB chaos knignt chest, arms and upper shoulder pads
WFB lord on manticore legs (cut and straighted out) and the top of his shield as Lorgars Iron halo thingy
40K termi lord cloak, loin cloth and book
40K chaos marine back pack and shoulder pads (berserker on his left)
40K blood angel left hand
40K space marine pouches
Think that's everything![]()
Wow! Seems dead simple when you list it out like that, but you've done a great job there!
your Lorgar looks awesome, seems so simple, yet the end result looks so fantastic!

Wow, your Lorgar turned out awesome! I did my cultists in a similar way, with Empire Flagellants and Cadian arms. Works out well enough.
And about how the WB treat their slaves in the Word Bearers Omnibus. Remember that the entire point of them being there is to destroy the planet, and they are working against the clock. How they threat their human followers isn't really representative, as they know they are all gonna die anyway...
I mean, if they are converting planets left and right, just by having a few marines spreading cults, they must deal with humans in a more.... productive way generally. That's how I see it at least. :P

"It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what horror means. Horror. Horror has a face... and you must make a friend of horror. Horror and moral terror are your friends. If they are not then they are enemies to be feared. They are truly enemies."
- Colonel Walter E. Kurtz
Your Lorgar fits the bill! I'm fighting off temptation to convert to another legion...
