Do loyalist space marine chapters help the Adeptus Mechanicus...
...in their "quest for knowledge"? It seems like something a chapter like the Iron Hands or Sons of Medusa would do, but I havent been able to find anything saying one way or the other of that is the case. Since it seems like there would be some cool modelling/background opportunities for a joint venture or something like that.
There are many chapters which are "close to the Mechanicus" and I would assume they would help them in their quest for knowledge in return for favours (such as first pick of Terminator armour etc) or would help them as they share their philosophy (IH and SoM). IIRC the Blood Ravens are actually stated to help the Mechanicus Explorator fleets as they also have their own quest for knowledge.

If helping is to wipe out an enemy fortress which contains something useful to them then yes they do. Though I suspect sometimes they get a bit heavy handed and can destroy the thing they're looking for.
It's only the blood angels which right now appear to be hoarding their own findings.
The Mechanicus expedition in Priests of Mars will feature allied Space Marines.

Yes normal chapters will help since it's always a good idea to stay friendly with the admech.
Astartes helping the AdMech is actually is the plot of the novel "Iron Hands."
I would think that all Space Marine Chapters would held the ad mech, especially if it is in the quest for STC templates that could aid the Space Marines

Having good relations to local Mechanicum forces could improve a Chapter's chances of securing material and machinery required to keep the Chapter operational, not to mention any hard to comeby STC plans such as Storm Eagles that the Forge might have access too, hell it makes for good story writing at least.
thanks guys! thats exactly how i felt on the subject, but by reading various wiki's and databases and such I was not able to find anything concrete. I actually forgot all about the blood ravens working with the Adeptus though, probably because they did keep all the good stuff. hahaha
but yeah, i pictured them as like, a security detail that worked in exchange for the best tech stuff, i figured some chapters (iron hands) would more readily buddy up with the admech than say, the blood angels.
