Dear all

Well its been a few weeks since we last did an update. Had a hectic time in work lately, and Rebecka's recently popped back to Sweden for a week and a half to catch up with her family.

I have a few updates...

Firstly, one thing I like to do when I go abroad, is try to buy a model in the country I am in. Having been over to Denmark recently, I picked up a Daemon Prince there, so first off, here is The Danish Daemon Prince.




Still yet to do his base, but really enjoyed doing the model.

It took a couple of goes to decide how I was going to do my rhinos... and had a couple of techniques i tried prior to choosing this one.

Nice! Oh my you got Old Skool Classic Rhinos. I recently accuired a Classic Vindicator and a Classic Predator but I did not like the look of the classic Rhino chassis next to my newer regular rhinos so I took them apart and now I am retro fitting the metal parts from both onto current rhinos. The classics look and work great as long as you dont have the newer ones in an army. Now you just need to get some Classic Nurgle Renegades in your army I have recently taken a hiatus my self but I don't have a good excuse like you do wish I was going to Denmark and Sweeden....but I am going Poland and Germany in October and Warsaw is definately on my list of places to go since there are many independant resin modelers that are located in Poland like http://puppetswar.com, http://www.maxmini.eu, and http://sciborminiatures.com

@Gonzo - Hi again I noticed a link to your own log and thought I would pay it a visit. Firstly I really like the theme you and your partner have chosen for this force. Even though the army is being painted by two different people it still really gels together. I think you have really nailed the sickly rotting feel to to your plague marine's armour. I also think your models have a lot of character, mainly down to the poses of the models themselves but also with the detail you painted on the helmetless marines faces -they seem to look as though they are eternally suffering. I'm not sure whether this was intentional or not but it looks very evocative and effective. The tanks look disgusting btw (in a good way).


@ Cherri - I really like the way you have painted the metal areas of your ogryn but I'm most impressed with the skin and flesh (both the ogryn and the zombies). It looks very effective. And I disagree...an army of just dragons would be epic! Also the big blobby guy is looking great, so much detail no wonder it takes you some time to finish a model.

these guys look disgustingly erotic. and i mean that in the best way possible of course. i love that plague colour where its kinda green but kinda brown at the same time. the plague marines look awesome. ive always liked the mix of the old and new in your armies. gives more characters.

cherri: i love the idea of typhus's plague victims. the big blobby guys looks awesome ^^ and if its any consolation. ive always had a problem with just wanting to paint the big shiny stuff :P who doesn't?

I gave away my Nurgle space marines after years of neglecting them (they needed a home where they wouldn't be locked up in a box)...

Having recently bought the new 40k book I'm looking for inspiration to begin a new army. Now I've seen this thread I'm really tempted to recreate my old nurgle marines. Damn you Papa Nurgle, leave me alone!

Thank you so much for the replies. Ive had a few weeks out of action as managed to bash my leg up, but getting back into the swing of things.

I've actually completely finished my nurgle army now, so i will post a full army picture shortly, as well as getting rebecka to do an update, as we are just finishing of some bases for her zombies.

Been a while since my last update. I have managed to paint some more zombie looking things and a "little blobby guy".

So first up we have "little blobby guy"

and then we have the reason there is not more zombie looking guys... I got a bit side tracked with one of my dragons <3
it is still not done yet, need some more work on the wings, head and details.

Dear all

I trust everyone is keeping well. Here in our neck of the woods in the Uk it hasnt stopped raining for about 3 weeks, which is a bit bizarre considering its July. Welcome to the UK I guess!

I thought id start off by introducing you to the new member of the family thats come to live with Rebecka and I... Darnell



He is a cream and white 5 generation pedigree chihuahua who we got earlier this week and is proving to be a little super star! Im sure if you follow our work, youll see more photos of him in the future.

I had an old ForgeWorld Wordbearers dread that I cut about a bit and did a few areas of GS and then nurglified. Not displeased with his decayed look, but cant see myself using a chaos dreadnaught ever, least of all now in 6th... but a nice addition to the collection.

1) Tzeentch Loyalist. Thank you for your kind words, I am glad you have liked the work. Im pretty much done with what I want to do for the army. I might add Typhus(typhon) and some terminators, but the bulk of the force is now completed.

I hope the army shot works for you as some more stuff to see.

2) Harwammer. I find this forum as well as the ones on Coolminiornot to be huge inspiration as a gamer. The works of Sigur, Sheep, Apologist, bulldoguk and many others have kept me inspired for years, so I am glad this has got your artistic juices flowing.

3) Johnny aka Duckface - Hey matie. I hope all your exams went ok. The force is really coming along, and with the new allies rule in 6th the armies work hand in hand nicely.

4) FLE - Thanks for popping along. Im glad that you like what Rebecka and I are doing together. One of the reasons I have found your blog so inspiring is seeing a group of freinds all working together to get to and end point. Its great testiment to this gameof ours bringing people together.

5) Sigs - Your thoughts and feelings have and always will remain gold dust to me. ever an admirer of yours..

6) Redeath - Have been a fan of scibor for a long old time. when he first came onto the scene people didnt give him the respect he deserved but im thrilled to see him becoming more and more popular. There is a blogger on here called Bulldoguk who has used the scibor models as paladins for his Grey Knight army. Look him up

7) Horacus and the Sherriff. thanks to both of you.

In the mean time, I have another power armoured army in the pipeline which I hope to have updates for soon.

With all this power army, im going to have to rename myself SpikyDaniel soon!!!

That is quite the bunch done already....and the painting rebecka did on the big blobby guy is incredibly well done...
I'm usually not such a fan of the nurgles...especially not after they corrupted my purity seal can and messed up a bunch of my sisters (they are officially arch enemies since then) but you guys make it all look just right with the right shade of green that is actually consistent....keep it up
