    Feral Ork List.

    40K Army: Orks
    Warboss. Big Choppa. Eavy Armor.

    Warphead. 55

    30 Slugga Boyz. Nob. Bp.

    30 Slugga Boyz. Nob. Bp.

    30 Slugga Boyz. Nob. Bp.

    10 grots. Slaver.

    750 pts

I really liked the ideas of Feral Orks so I tried to make a list that represented them so, but not necessarily as snakebites. Hows it look?

how you going to handle any armour? glance everything to death? honestly thinking even if drop them all to 25 get some claws fearless so can get rid of BP getting you 30 which means bp to claw on boss and 5 pts to get random upgrade my 2 sense dont know how much is true with you putting feral in there.

Feral meaning no assault weapons? I agree and disagree with the first comment. Yes, you need PKs... eventually. At 750pts armour will be RARE, at least nothing over rear armour 10. I say drop the BP's and grots and pick up some big choppas for your Nobz, it will be fluffier. Extra points can go to kiting up your boss a bit more... if the fluff allows it, pick up some rokkits/big shootas for some lucky kills.
Its not fluffy but a big mek with a kustom force field would be GREAT for this footslogging list. Maybe a feral ork shaman casting a magical ward?!?!?!

    Re: Feral Ork List.

Thanks guys, I just saw the old Chapter Approved Feral Ork list and got inspired. I know in snakebite clans there are Wierdboyz and grots, which are a specialty for them. I could drop the Boss for 2 Wierdboyz. I wanted a themed army but there are a few tweaks I can make to make it somewhat competitive. Big Choppas will help and are indeed fluffy. I'm not sure about Powerklaws just yet since I like to start throwing them in around 1k or so. To Darklord, I dont know about the feral part either since I can't use the Chapter Approved lists anymore, I just wanted to get as close as I could to what a feral army may look like. I was thinking maybe Kommandos could work as fluff? Feral Orks had Trappas which were sneaky. The fluff also had Boar Boyz, which I could use as Warbikers. Pluch, KFF's are great and I like your fluff aspect to it, I just wanted to try an army list thats almost the complete opposite of my trukk lists which use KFF's heavily and are a fast army with fewer Orks.

    Maybe somethin like this?

    Wierdboy.

    Wierdboy.

    10 Grots. Slaver.

30 Boyz. Nob. Big Choppa. Boss Pole. x3 Big Shootas.

30 Boyz. Nob. Big Choppa. Boss Pole. x3 Big Shootas.

15 Kommandos. Nob. Big Choppa. Boss Pole.

    750

So looking at your list. I like the feral aspect. Orks are great as there are so many ways to play them.

    I was thinking of this.

    Weirdboy: Warphead
    Weirdboy: Warphead

    Kommando x15
    -Nob: BP, BC

    Boys x25
    -Nob: BP, BC
    Boys x25
    -Nob: BP, BC

    Big guns x3 (Kannons)
    -9 Crew

This gives you some AT power. As well as the feel for the feral Orks. They would still have some artillery. But you could model it a bit more feral looking. Anyways just an idea from me. Hope you like it.

i feel then you might kill the numbers a bit plus remove your screen plus you then now have stationary units as well. still is most likely a good list just dont feel it compliment itself as well

    Re: Feral Ork List.

What would he use to screen before? The 10 grots? Hardly! The grots in my eyes are completely useless. Turning them into Big guns makes them more useful then they will ever be by themselves. Not to mention it is only a 750 list. I don't know of much that can kill 65 boys while being pelted by str 8 guns from downtown.

but this is just my thought on the matter.

    Re: Feral Ork List.

Grots are good at what they're designed for: blocking bullets with their bodies and are scoring. Having said that, they will cause a lot more damage as kannon krews and are, perhaps, not such an easy kill point if they're at the back of the lines. Also, I doubt a unit of 10 grots would last very long in the "meat shield" line of work as even lasguns can kill them on a 3+; The boyz will probably be able to survive by themselves without them if you use terrain - which can't be destroyed.

Personally I like Balsak da mighty's list the best as you can fit a lot of 35 point transports in a 750 point game (that's the cost of a Rhino, isn't it?). I think it would be OK to put kannons in a feral Ork list as they're hardly advanced technology: cannons existed in the late medieval era back on Earth.
Who needs a life when there are video games? (And Warhammer)

    Orks: 2000 points
