    On the battlefield?

Can any of you point me to the definition of "On the battlefield"? I noticed this in all of Nemesor Zandrekh's special rules in the Necron codex. Does he just need to be alive to be on the battlefield? If he is in reserve is he not on the battlefield? Is he on the battlefield if he is in a Night Scythe? Is he only on the battlefield if his base is physically on the table?

    Re: On the battlefield?

Basically, the easiest way to think of this is to consider, can this model act in the game yet?

Reserves = No, because they haven't arrived "on the battlefield" yet.
In a transport = He may not be literally on the table, but he is riding around in a vehicle and acting. I don't know how you could consider him flying around slicing stuff in half not "on the battlefield"...
Dead = The same as removed from play, at least for these purposes.

There's no official ruling on this as far as I know, but it's basically exactly what anyone not looking for excuses or easter eggs would interpret it as, I would think.

This is also the way I interpret it, I was just hoping somebody would swoop in and say "Look at page XX in the rulebook, dummy!" because I wasn't able to find anything myself.

Unfortunately there is no obvious ruling that I can find (so no name calling :P) but basically all of the above, I think chapters unwritten hit it on the nail.
