Fizzy's school project! Help a student out!

Hello there Warseer! I have started a project in high school. My teacher approved of making a log. The whole idea of this log is to get you people interested and wanting so subscribe and be eager followers of this plog! This plog will contain all my work within the 40K universe. I hope that the picture will make you satisfied and inspired. I paint in different ways. Depending on the size of the army and the models. For example marines and such will be much more good looking and my Death korps a little less but still TT+.

I hope that these pictures make you want more! If you decide to subscribe please do write that down in the plog so I can write it down for my logbook. Thank you very much for poping in and have a great day!

Also a tip for the day. Want to make a cracked road? Have a box preferbly glass or plastic. Fill it with fine grain sand. Spray hairspray in a stripe and light it on fire with a lighter. When the flame flickers out wait a copule of seconds and use a tool to move the glued sand together. And break it and put on a base

Worked for me at least.

The hairspray need to contain alcohol!

That rhino is lovely- loving the freehand all over it, looks like a true labour of love. Only minor criticism is that the eye on the back door feels abit plain, like it's missing something. Maybe its too muted down? I feel it lets down that aspect of the otherwise great model...
still, way better than anything I have ever painted and I'm guessing I've probably been doing it twice as long as you - so kudos!

Well actually in 3 weeks it's been 10 years since I walked in a store and bought a box of Eldar storm guardians and glue.
My friends were really active for 6 years but now I am left alone. Having a bigger interest than ever before

woooow, that rhino is amazing. How did you/what did you use to make all that rust/dirt on it? Everytime I try to do it it just looks awful.

Heh well its about 17 since I started I think a cats eye would work great- just to draw attention to it abit more.

Had another look at the mortar and loving the mud on the wheels

Pigments,real dirt, PVA glue, weathearing powders and patient. And of course water. Also operation alcohol.

New project coming up. Pre heresy Imperial fists! You will get to see a Stormraven I bought on Ebay. Really lovely looking. Bought it mostly cause the conversions, painting and work. I wanted a stormraven but I did not want to paint one.

No painting this weekend. Taking my cider and some stuff and be with my other half for the weekend. Having a zombie marathon party!

I will give them a very bright yellow to match the Stormraven. But also with battle damage and chipping. And that worries since I have never actually been succesful with battledamage on a large scale.

Any tips or guides you guys know about?

I also started painting 2 Fenrisian wolves for the Lone wolf yesterday ^^

how did you do the mud effects on the tanks, is it weathering powder or some sort of paint mix??? God i wish i could paint that well

Like I said its a mix between weathering powders, pigments, water, PVA glue and som outdoor dirt. Just a little little bit.

Well since you ask nicely.... Most of it is nit picking though

Therye not blood angels for starters

The chaos rhino has a (non defiled) imperial eagle on it. The dirt seems abit... Overdone and not all of it is in the right place (imho, for example the tracks are dirtied up but then track guards above the tracks arent ) also the exhausts dont have heat damage/blackening of the armour..

The Penitent engine has been painted an overall colour it seems that pistons and other details arent picked out.

From what I can gather the fur on the thunderwolf cav captain has been drybrushed, but not only fur colour but also the colour of your captain's armour? Its a shame that you dident spend the same amount of time and effort on the mount as on the character

Dkok commisar could use some highlights on his black coat.

Only defence I have is that the light of the sun makes the commissars coat look a bit dull and messy.

No comments on the Lone wolf?

Also I have been working on another space wolf for quite some time. This time a character.

Only comment I have on the lonewolf is some small mold lines on the back pack. Paintjob is nice

What school do you go to though that allows this as a project? Art school?
