I just thought of another: Horse Outside by Rubberbandits. Worryingly, I know that song word for word.

I, too, can sing that song word for word, Nixon. I am a fan of all of their songs.

Oh, the rubberbandits don't count I think as their songs are deliberately comedic or a pastiche of something else. Like 'black man'

They've got some talent alright; I really like their Gaelic versions to boot.

That's a good point; It always amuses me whenever they take flack on the coarse nature of their songs and videos, when they're so obviously mocking that very coarseness. But I digress.

To bring things back on topic, how about this:

Galvanise, by the Chemical Brothers. Such a great rhythm to my ears, but I can understand why quite a few people hate it.

Worryingly enough I use that as my celebration song.

If anyone has heard of 'One Track Lover', well I add that to my list unashamedly.

Ah good one, I absolutely love that song. The show which goes alongside it isn't exactly bad either.

    Anything by Avril Lavigne

...mainly for the nostalgia purposes as it reminds me of being 14ish.

A Thousand Miles - Vanessa Carlton...

Damn I love that song, probably helped by the massive crush I had on her back in the day.

Google research shows she hasn't aged as well as I have!!

    Can't...get...song...out...of...head...

I grew up in the 90's and very early 2000's. I have a sister 2 years older than me.
As such, my iTunes looks like I suffer from multiple personalities. Filled with punk, rock and a bit of indie stuff - but "Living la vida Loca" is one of my most played songs...
I see your Girls Aloud, and raise you this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93iIi...yer_detailpage .

I know it’s even more embarrassing that listening to Girls Aloud but I can’t help it, I just like a lot of their songs.
