    Re: K'Daai Fireborn up

Erazmus_M_Wattle: "I don't think they live up to the usual high quality of Forgeworld or any other GW division. It just feels like they'll release any old drivel for Warhammer Forge just so they can release something."

    Hmmm... those statements seem contradictory.

They are interesting. I will wait and see what painted versions look like before making up my mind - but I could see finding a use for them in our D&D games (and maybe Mordheim).

Feefait: "They really shouldn't post pictures without painted ones as well. "

You take that back! Don't give them any excuse to be even more stingy about giving us previews!

Having posted, and looking at the post on the screen, it dawns on me Erazmus was probably making a distinction between FORGE WORLD releases and WARHAMMER FORGE releases...

These models are awesome; however, I would like the option of buying one model just for painting. I hope that GW/FORGE WORLD can do this alongside their blister packs and boxed sets.

Don't count on it fella, either find a friend who would like to buy and split with you or sell the ones you don't want on eBay. You should beable to get at least £12 per a model for one, which is the cost per a model.

I agree that previews are awesome... but sometimes the preview doesn't do it justice. For example it was great to see the Exalted Vermin lord but I wasn't wowed. Seeing it painted however it looks amazing. I think these models are just kind of a syrupy mess of texture. Painting would show us some of the actual detail that we cannot now see.

Fw hurts themselves by not putting painted pics up. The vermin lord is a perfect example.

For those who have bought these, I have just received mine, I was under the impression they were on 50X50 bases. Mine appear to have come with 40mm bases. Can anyone confirm either or?

40mm bases is what they looked like they were on.

    Re: K'Daai Fireborn up

They're clearly on 40mm bases judging from the pics and their price. They're monstrous infantry anyway, it'd be dumb if they were on 50mm bases.

I always thought they would be on 40mm bases. But I read somewhere recently that the Fireborn and Bull Centuars should be on 50mm bases. I can't for the life of me remember where it was though.

Love the fact that you question that statement and that you go under the name "Beastlord". (but yes, there are no cattle with legs on in a backwards fashion, it only looks that way.)

It's not backward legs. Look, it's got a knee, it's a regular leg, what you'd call a "backward" knee is actually its heel. Like... probably any animal in existence. The only things with backward legs are robots. Even birds have regular legs, if you look under the feathers. Arms (wings, front legs), on the other hand, are all "backward legs", if you want.

That's like telling them to (make sure they) keep the prices juicy...
