Just use UHU PLAST Plastic Glue instead. It's quite good.
Ive had this problem before. After two bottles of the same thing I was told it was a "bad batch". That just annoyed me more and changed to non-GW glue as it ruined a load of painting and I had to waste a lot of time re-doing an army.

I remain bewildered. In the words of Richie Cusack, GW, "How do you screw that up???"
Why do people keep using Citadel glues? Are they utterly unaware that the modelling shop has better stuff for less money?![]()
Humbrol glue is bestest. Though that may just be because the smell reminds me of making Airfix kits in the kitchen when I was 5.

KIL! KIL! KIL!

Gw glue: twice the price, half the quality.
"REVELL CONTACTA PROFESSIONAL" is the only glue i use for plastic kits(never let me down)...
Testors. Or nothing.
I've been having trouble too. Could well be a dodgy batch, or the factory that makes them once again changing the brew without permission!
Will pick up some Revell I think.

I've had bits just fall off a unit of thunderwolves recently, which is annoying. I've got over 800 marines, so it isn't not knowing how to stick one together. Its probably a bad batch. Any chance GW would send out new glue or a refund?
I found an old bottle of Revell Contacta Liquid Special, it's from 2002, but it hasn't dried up.
Should it still be fine?
Try it out on one model first, just to be safe.
OP, I've never built a valkyrie before but it looks like the pieces are pretty big to me, it was more likely a combination of the weight of the model pieces and the plastic glue just not being strong enough for such a large model.
I'm not trying to say it's perfect but it doesn;t seem to work that great on larger models.
TBH I really only use the plastic glue on smaller models made out of plastic or finecast, in my personal experience for large models or metal I go with Loctite's liquid super glue, perfect for sealing up those annoying rhino chunks.
Humbrol Precision Poly Cement ftw!
I've been using Tenax lately and it's been great. I do have to use a brush to apply it but I like that I have more control than I would with a squeeze bottle.
It also works great on removing mold lines along skeletal ribcages and Tyranid ridges. Picked that tip up a couple years back and it's saved me a ton of time rather than trying to file or scrape them down.
