What would Slaanesh call the Eldar?

... Other than delicious that is.

I'm doing a little short story to go along with a character story where a Keeper of Secrets possesses a Talos during a fight against the Dark Eldar. It just occurred to me that I don't know how Slaanesh & his minions would refer to their elfen parents.. Creators? Progenitors? Forebears? Soul Keepers?

    What do you think?

Playthings? Amusements? Breakfast? Some of your suggestions imply a respect that I really don't think Slaaneshi would feel towards the Eldar.

In Dark Deciple, Slaanesh or some Slaaneshi Daemon called some Dark Eldar "my Handmaidens".

That's the obvious answer, but not the most interesting one IMHO. I'd love to see the relationship between the Eldar and Slaanesh explored in greater detail, and I think that some kind of obsessive love-hate would be in order - Slaanesh is the god of obsession after all. He/She is also very much aware that it owes its very existence to the Eldar race.
"Forebears" sounds cool IMHO. It reminds me of the relation between humans and Cylons in Battlestar Galactica, where one of the Cylon characters notes that while they're thankful that humanity created them, parents have to die for children to really come into their own.

    My suggestion: "Cooookkkiiieees!!!!"

Slaanesh doesn't give a fig about how heshe got started...it doesn't owe the Eldar or anyone else anything and (of all the Gods) it'd be too self- centred to consider thinking of them as anything other than pawns, tools, sources of enjoyment, or someone who can potentially give it more power.

The Eldar's Fall contributed a lot to the God's birth (and the Slaanesh's increasingly violent warpspasms made it go exponentially faster), but none of the Chaos Gods give a mouse's bum about why or wherefore...and (IMHO) they're pretty much incapable of letting their mania go for sufficient time to really think about anything else.

Hmm, I don't really see it myself. The Eldar fear and hate Slaanesh, but to Slaanesh the Eldar are just it's favourite prey. It treasure them as the tastiest souls but I don't see any sort of respect or anything like that. Slaanesh is not grateful to the Eldar for giving birth to it (and depending on what version of the gods you like might have been both non-existing and existing before that anyway), gratitude have no place in the psyche of a god of self-gratification, indulgence and excesses. If anything I could perhaps see hatred at them for refusing to just give up and die and they remain some of it's most determined and formidable enemies but that's about as far as it go I think.

@OP. Why would She Who Thirsts even be using language?
Gods in 3.0 D&D play dice with the universe, sometimes throw the dice behind the DM's screen where they cannot be seen and then count as getting the best possible result.

To screw with you even more, obviously. Ideally, in your own head.

Back to the OP - I imagine Slaanesh would call the Eldar pretty much whatever they call themselves, perhaps with an added twist or two so it can play on their, eh, common past. The Eldar, more than anything else, shaped Slaanesh - as it grew on the countless vibrant Eldar souls unleashed before the Fall, I'd even hazard a guess they shaped it in their image. They are bound to feel a kinship, of sorts (a very debased, twisted and yet undeniable sort) with it, which is likely the reason their souls are more vulnerable to it than to any other warp predator (like calls to like, as it were). On its own part, I imagine Slaanesh is more than willing to, shall we say, play on that link and would love to put its familial bonds with the Eldar to their faces.

Re: What would Slaanesh call the Eldar?

I see Slaanesh treating the Eldar in two possible ways:

    1. Constantly belittling them with condescending names and making fun of the fall, their suffering and struggle for survival. So anything that would put them down (and boost Slaanesh's ego even more). Also some hilarious double entendres like "You're my favourite race to dine with" and "you're a very bitter race".

    2. Like a pervy builder looking at woman walking by. I can just imagine Slaanesh in the warp saying to the other gods "mm hmm, the things I would do to her..."and boy howdy when heshe gets the chance, heshe goes to town, but will constantly remind hisher victim how beautiful they are and how much Slaanesh loves them but also just a piece of worthless meat. IE Like Slaanesh is talking to a lover and someone they despise, look down on and objectify all at the same time.
