Not played either, but always up for a board game. Had the original horus heresy (think its in a family loft somewhere).
Got Chaos in the Old World, which is a great game

Hello!
Welcome to Warseer! I quite like board games, my family often play them when we get together. Most recently we've been playing Zombies and the Gear of War game.
I've not played any Games Workshop ones though. Would you recommend any (preferably cheap) ones!?

Hi Shush,
The only Games workshop IP game I have played is Chaos in The Old World, which I would throughly recommend. Simple to learn, in fact the best FFG rulebook I have seen, but lots of depth and well balanced.
I had a look a the new Horus Heresy rulebook, and that is a real headache to read. A few friends have played it, and struggled a bit with the rules, and are still unclear after a few games.
I have heard very good things about Chaos marauder and Death angel. Death angel in particular, but that is more card based than a board game strictly.
A GW bit non-warhammmer/40k game, Talisman is a good game and plays well. Work much better for a higher number of players, if you have just 2 it doesn't make for as good a game.
If you are after decent reviews its worth checking out the Board Game Geek site

Oh! I have played Talisman, now that I think! LOL!
You have to kill the dragon in the middle after you go round the edges?
I did like that but it was helped by cider!
I will have a look on Board Game Geek thank you
