So, about to be ready to assemble and wanted a final review of the army. Some changes since last, although this time I hope to be critiqued.

Marshal joins in on the Assaultinators. He's an addition as I was adviced towards high LD for the army.
7man Initiated will advance towards infantry, 5man will seek middle and cover, providing a small firebase.

Thoughts?

Not a bad Templar list. I like it. Have you playtested it using counts as models to see how it flows against other armies? I find that helps me with list building.

Thanks Reivax. No, haven't tested it, though i consider myself a successful vanilla player.

I've tried to avoid pitfalls, as I discussed with with Shismotive in his templar post. It's tempting to build an all out termi-wall, but I think that a marshal and tactical termies don't do well together. Kitted for two dif purposes. I was torn between a dread and a termi squad, but even though they're lots more expensive, I believe the termies are more durable.

If you wanted to be more optimum you'd want something more like this:

Champion, accept any challenge.

3X 5 terminators, 2 cyclones, tank hunters.

3X 5 initiates, lascannons.

3X 2 land speeder typhoons.

3X predator destructor, sponsoon lascannons.

This way you've got a lot more shooting, 3 units to hold your own objectives and the termi wall to take your oponents.

Yeah I love the black templar terminators, both tac and assault. Even though you're not going mech(which is basically the where its at right now), you have pretty decent mobility with the land raider and land speeders. The marshal w/ terminators is a very powerful unit, since get we furious charge and stuff taking claws can actually be kinda worth it.

Looks interesting, but ... it lacks good Ld. Infantry squads don't have sergeants and therefore rely on a character, like a Marshal (that's where I've learned). Ld10 across the board is nice when testing everytime a unit takes a loss.
It also lacks durability for the scoring units, and although lascannons are nice, I think they are superfluous in that list, enough anti armor. Heavy bolters or plasma cannons i'd say.

I hope the assaultinators+marshal will cause some serious problems, backed up by the landraider. While the big inf unit is drop podding up front, I hope that the 5man squad will be left alone, combined with the termies. This is the same strat as Alan suggested, but I have more wounds and am less hurt by pie.
