    Fighter/bombers, especially imperial fleet ones

Am finally getting back into BFG, perhaps its because I'm finally painting all my stuff, perhaps its because I have an evil plan of DOOM involving call to arms star fleet to get people into BFG at my uni's gaming club, but anyway I am now (possibly foolishly) thinking of buying some more BFG stuff before it gets hit with price rise, failcasted or squated.
Now I have nothing to represent fighters or bombers and I was thinking of using some. The problem however, is that the GW ones look like little plastic/metal blobs, and sure you get 30, but for £10 I think I'd like something better, the bombers seem okay, but the interceptors? no, just no. So what do people use for the imperial fleet fighters? If they use the gw models, how do they make them look decent?

I bought a load of teeny fighters from Brigade Models, like these...

    http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/Space...p/SFS-260.html
    http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/Space...n/SFS-360.html
    http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/Space...d/SFS-464.html
    http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/Space...d/SFS-760.html

All come as 12 for £1.50

Pin 2 or 3 to a base and you can get a nice swarm of fighters/bombers/interceptors.

I like the sea wasp ones, think I will use those, especially as I'm thinking of ordering an oberon class battleship.

The fact I'm getting these ones has nothing to do with the fact that Y wing is my favorite ship from the old trilogy :P

30 tokens for a very reasonable sum. They are modeled 3 to a token in resin, and could easily be converted if you wished (by cutting off the tail aerofoils, it would look more like a Z95 headhunter!)
They're easy to get tabletop ready with a little dry brushing and you could do more with a detail brush If you really care.
Lastly, the edges have a nice zigzag steel construction pattern which could be painted different colours to represent fighters/bombers/ different salvos or carriers

There are going to be 9 dystopian wars factions, thus nine tiny flyer models
Paint the models differently for fighters vs bombers etc, or use different action models
