    Infernal Guard

What is the best use of these in a CD army? They look like they'd be effective with great weapons in horde formation but it'd be a hell of a points sink.

    Re: Infernal Guard

I like to keep my Infernal Guard in tightly knit blocks. I usually run them 24 men strong w/ just standard kit, joined by a character, to make a 5x5 formation. In LoA your special and rare choices do the killing for you *cough*destroyer*cough*, ahem excuse me, so you need something to hold the enemy in place. If you take Hobgoblins you need to take Chaos Dwarf units to be babysit them anyway, so I mainly just take IG blocks. (I do like a small unit of Hobgobs as a nice shield for my Iron Daemon though) With a 3+ AS, 6+ PS, Re-Rollable Ld10 (Sorceror Prophet and BSB), your IG won't be going anywhere any time soon, so I'd just keep them bare. (w/ command of course)

With regards to the Destroyer. I play WFB against friends, I'd like them to remain my friends lol

I know what you mean , thankfully my gaming group has a general "rule of cool" mindset.
