I’ve got my post in progress. Getting back into the swing of GrimDark is taking more effort than I expected.
Question about the blast door: How fast is it closing on us? Are we talking haunted house spiked wall trap slow or guillotine fast?
Relatively fast, as these doors are designed to isolate decompressed (or boarded) sections of the ship in an emergency. You have perhaps 10 seconds between noticing the doors are closing and being trapped inside. Only a few of the company are going to make it out in time (of course, all the PCs will unless someone specifically wants to act otherwise).

Aaaargh. I had a severe case of work and a mild case of death, but I'm over both and have finally got to post. Not up to my standards though.

A mild case of death, ae? Sounds fun. Your post is fine although (and I may have mentioned this earlier) the correct address for Pilgrim is "colour sergeant", or just "colour". Sergeant / sarge is incorrect as it's technically a demotion.
If anyone wants to make a head count then the people who made it out were Pilgrim and Kylara from the command section; Lehner, Corbec, Martos, Fitz and Kreutzmann from first squad; Gerald, Vicario and DuGrae from second squad; and Nyl and Klemens.

I figure as Ky is a sergeant herself "sarge" is more of an informal term for a higher-ranking NCO, but it probably would be a good idea to start calling him "colours" anyway.

Hi Fidesratioque - sorry, no Eldar will be involved in this story (it's an Imperial troopship in the middle of the Warp). Another guardsman or random crewmember could conceivably join the party though.
