Unusual, Competitive Grey Knights 1850 mainly footslogging what do you think?

10 man strike squad dhammer, warding stave, 2*psycannons, psy bolts

    heavy 200
5 man purgation squad 2*psycannons, 2*incinerators, dhammer, teleporter homer
    rhino hunter killer missile

    Total 1850

The plan is with two grand strategies to give scout to the vindicare assassin. So he can move into the strike squads rhino and fire first turn. With the other GS make some units scoring (ven dread and purgation squad) or if its kill points give the strike squads counter attack or re roll ones to wound. Strike squads will normally walk across the board (teleport in against very shooty armies like guard) laying down alot, of pain 32 strength 5 shots and 8 strength 7 rending on the move and 16 stationary. Also hard to kill in close combat and on the charge with hammerhand on they will slaughter their marine equivalents. Dread pops transports and holds home objective. Real pain to kill cause of ven. assassin takes out high value targets like land raiders or such safe from harm in his stolen rhino. Mordrak, Ghost Knights and Grand master teleport in first turn no scatter distract and kill the enemy, having a stealthed unit of termies and 2 Grand Masters arrive on your doorstep is quite nasty. Hopefully staying alive long enough for strike squads to reach them and provide support. The purgation squad cruises around providing anti mech and anti horde.
A small elite force with a shock trooper style of play.

Unusual but seems really interesting to play with.
Did you try it out yet?

That is one seriously top heavy list. 710pts out of 1850 in just HQ? Ven dread before you even filled out your heavy slots with regular dreads? Hunter killer missiles?

I would highly recommend going from one ven psyfile dread to two normal psyfile dreads, droping the Grand Knight, droping all the missiles, and adding more GKSS and or a second rhino.

Had a few battles. Hard to get the deathstar into combat as everything runs from it against eldar in a 1500pts, kill points, it got charged by 2wraithlords one with sword and 8 harlequins they killed around 3ghost knights, mordrak brought down to 1 wound ,GM on 2 killed everything in two turns of assault only fleeing shadowseer survived and the unit started with only 4ghost knights and no banner. eldar got tabled and got no kill points of me. Lost against blood angels capture and control. Deep struck with death star blood angels flew away leaving 700pts to babysit their objective i could not capture. Turn 5 ended with my ven dread holding my contested objective(holding off two assault squads) for a draw but game continued and they captured it. We were about equal in victory points even though deathstar got no action. 2nd blood angels game similar to first but draw. Necrons won, again did not deepstrike deathstar into right place and they were ignored for the game. So far no one has come that close to killing the deathstar though.
It is a very top heavy list but that is what I like about it. Your suggestions are apreciated but the reason I have a Grand Master as well as Mordrak is for two grand strat. Give assasin scout and ven dread scoring. The ven dread is incredibly hard to kill very good at holding home objectives always performs very well in all my games. also its only 20 points for two hunter killer missiles =1 Knight and your normally looking around 600-800pts for a good deathstar.
